Knights Of Labour
Well we all know where we started, the Knights were officially recognised as having started up around the year 600AS on Houston, but our roots go further back than that. Suffice it to say the Knights aren’t exactly young and we’ve had a fair few trials and tribulations along the way. We ain’t big and we ain’t well off but we get by and do the job as best we can. What is that job, well it’s simple really we want to bring Liberty back to the Liberty folks. Give Liberty workers their jobs back re-open Pittsburgh’s mines and get Liberty producing all the things we know it can.
Liberty could produce a lot more than it does, it’s only the almighty credit that stops it, seems it’s cheaper to ship stuff in from foreign places than it is to pay a Liberty person to make the stuff here. Add to that the slave colonies of Houston, Sugarland and Huntsville and we have a recipe for a Liberty that doesn’t give a toss about looking after its people.
This makes us angry, very angry indeed. Certainly angry enough to take up arms and fight for what is right and it is right. This situation cannot be allowed to continue, and don’t be getting the impression it would be any better off under a Rheinland occupation, look at how their House is run. They’ve got pissed off miners and angry farmers just like us and Kusari. So no, Rheinland taking over wouldn’t be any better either.
In short there’s only one group who know the truth and it’s us, we aren’t slaves to the credit, we’re free thinking individuals. So yeah that leaves us without any allies, so what? Rogues are far too interested in petty crime, Hackers just want more money and the Junkers peddle that filth, cardamine. So we’re left alone to fight the war against corruption and it’s hard, we’ve suffered some major setbacks in our time, from the LPI almost kicking us out of Colorado, to getting tangled up in running battles with a much superior Liberty Navy. It hasn’t been an easy ride.
I’ll hand over to the Pittsburgh Pony for a quick run-down of all our favourite haunts before we hook up with an old hand to give you the run-down on who’s who. We’ll then have the skinny on who you can run to when you’re all out of options and we’ll settle up with a list of who’s going to be shooting at you if you’re stupid enough to get caught. As always this document is open to Lancers wishing to poke their oar in, but keep it on topic folks.
