So this actually a lot longer than I thought it would be. Some details were left out, I might add them in later posts.
Also if I mention anyone's characters in any of these stories now or later that don't want to be in here do tell me and I can write them out.
If there is any feedback or anything just let me know.
Hello valued listener! You have stumbled upon this audio file in which we will go over the profound journey of the hero of the Nomad War, Edison Trent. It all started with the horrible destruction of Freeport 7 which was stationed in the Sigma-17 system. A convoy had just left when the station was abruptly attacked by at the time unknown forces... Ok! Great. Now that all those Junkers and other scavengers coming here to search for contraband and other oddities have left, we can get on to the real story, MY story. This will be a long one so let's dive in.
First, lets get the formalities out of the way. My name is Charlie Jukins, Born 800 A.S. on Freeport 6 to a mechanic father and a waitress mother. My early years were pretty good all things considered, helped my father out fixing up ships, got a part-time job at my mothers work, things were good. Now being a son of a mechanic has its benefits. I get to work on all kinds of ships along with meeting their willing or in some cases unwilling occupants interpret that how you wish. I started helping my father around the age of 13, and around that time we saw a lot of Kusarian ships. Apparently during that time Bretonia and Kusari were having a bit of trouble with border disputes, and I was right in the middle of it. Most of who we saw however were passing IMG miners or Freelance traders looking to either escape the battles or to profit off them. That's not to say it was all boring. A few times I was able to see Kusarian warships in the distance moving towards the Tau-31 gate. Those days were usually the most exciting, but besides that my little Freeport did not have a lot of action. What next. Oh yeah so around the age of 16 I got a job on the nearby Samura station of Shinkaku Station mining from the nearby ice fields though the job didn't last too long, and I was let go for...reasons. That's a story for another day and your not here for that.
Anyway, I'll skip ahead a bit. Did some odd jobs here and there around the system, eventually saving enough to buy my own ship. Yes, I did have some piloting experience before buying a true system traveling ship, besides I had to get rid of my small Starflier someday. So, I traveled around a bit and settled on a Series Z "Sabre." This was, probably back in 818 A.S. if I recall correctly, and its been with my ever sense. Afterwards I traveled around a bit, did some work for the unsavory kind, mostly moving goods from place to place, but that's not important. The important thing is, I made money. Had a good chunk of money made and by the end of the year I had settled myself in an apartment on New London. It was nothing too fancy but it was a nice change of pace from the Freeport. It was quite a nice place until I heard that Leeds had been well, destroyed. Annd...well, I left shortly after. I did NOT want to be around when they showed up in New London no way. So, I left. I debated weather to head towards Cambridge and head to the Omegas, or head towards Liberty.
Now, at this point in time for all you young listeners, Liberty and Rheinland are still at the height of their war and the Omegas well they were pretty quiet aside from the usual Hessian and Corsair problems. After a lot of deliberation, which was about 2-3 drinks at the bar, I settled on Liberty for two reasons: Never visited and, probably a good place to get some credits.
I arrived in Liberty in 820 A.S. and it was truly an experience. It was probably the busiest place I'd seen well...ever. I flew around for a few days, getting my bearings in this new House, was much different than Bretonia let me tell you. I settled down on Denver in a small apartment. It wasn't much but it worked. Now all I needed was a job. For the next year I did a bunch of odd jobs around Liberty. Some escorting contracts, some small-time bounty hunting, but mostly moving cargo. I had some experience while in Bretonia it made sense that I would continue what I was good at. This trend continued until about oh... 825 A.S when I got a stable job as a contractor for DSE. Out of all the jobs I had that had to be the most tedious one, but it paid well. They made you use this awful manual and you had to go through the annoying checklist of problems before you found the right one, usually it was damage from something external, like a weapon. I'm sure you can guess why. Now, I will skip ahead to more recent history. Oh, well I also met someone here in Liberty, but that's a story for another day.
Eventually, I stopped getting contracts from DSE, so I went about searching for other opportunities, one of which was for a salesman selling video games. The game was called "Star Searcher" I think. It followed the story of Tredison Ent and his adventures through space, at least that's what it said on the box. Either way, I sold a fair bit of copies to people all around Liberty, and soon moved into the nearby Independent systems. That's when I met a pair of Freelancers, Claude and James who for some reason accompanied me on my sales trip to the Crayterians. Oh. Yeah, there was also this other Freelancer but, I never got his name so we will leave him out. Anyhow, the Crayterians were quite adverse to entertainment because not long after me and my new found buddies found ourselves on the wrong side of the Crayterian law enforcement. But, where we found one enemy we made a new ally in the Auxesians or well, whatever they call themselves now. At the time apparently both Auxesia and the Crayterians had found themselves in a sort of war, which I reluctantly helped out with. I never cared much for their war but James however seemed to really embrace it.
After that was all settled, I went back to my day job of contracting, but it wasn't long before I found a new job, one that was quite the lucrative deal. But, dear reader you might be wondering, "What happened to Claude and James?" Well, as far as I know, Claude headed north to the Taus I think he mentioned going to Gallia but, I haven't heard from him since. James I presume started working closer with the Auxesians, because the next I heard he had gotten into trouble with the Liberty Navy, who knows where he is now. Man, this is getting to be a bit longer than I thought... Well most valued reader if you managed to stay this long your either really invested in my story or some kind of stalker. Take your pick. Let's see how to best wrap this up since I don't have all day.
Ok, lucrative deal from a defunct Kusarian subsidiary for selling weapons. Made a good chunk of money off of that, but after about a year of working they up and vanished. Last I heard they told me they were happy with my work and if they needed me in the future they would contact me. Hm, what else... Ah, made some enemies within the Navy and LPI... traveled to the Omicrons and met a few other people there... that thing in Kepler as well at least I think it happened... and that's about it. For now anyway. Be on the lookout for more of these logs maybe you will stumble upon another one soon. Oh right right, … And that concludes our story of Edison Trent, the hero of the Nomad War tune in next time to hear the story of Cosmo Van Nostrom and his battle in the court room. See you next time.
