It's times like this, listening to the mesmerizing sound of trade lanes, that I flashback to my childhood. I was brought up by a strict Samurai father! However, my mother was much more supportive of me , and a huge collector of 20th Century Earth antiques. She would often slip me small toys. Miniature Cowboys and Indians were my favorite until mother gave me a 20th Century "Woody" doll, I took him from planet to planet always careful to keep him out of view of father.
As a teenager I saved my allowance, and bought an ancient machine called a VCR and a bunch of tapes with cowboy movies on them. Get'um John Wayne! I learned everything I could about the cowboy way! Honor, courage and hard work. All these years later, I'm just a Japanese Cowboy hauling my cargo across the stars in search of some good sushi and wagyu beef. If we should meet, tip your hat and extend a big howdy! I'll be sure to do the same.
