Good morning, everyone. How are you doing? This is my first contribution to the site. Guys, I'm experiencing a problem with the game controller on my PC. That is, despite my best efforts, the controller problem has not been resolved. I'm currently using a Sony Play Station 5 controller with Windows 10. I have no idea why this is happening or how to fix it. Is there anyone who can assist me in resolving this issue? We would be grateful if someone could help us.

Hello and welcome Smile

Are you asking this in relation to the game or general? Because Freelancer doesn't have controller support. Could you describe your problem a bit more specifically?

Thanks for replying. And sorry for posting here. Guys, whenever I'm trying to connect the controller, my PC doesn't recognize it. Although, I already tried some tricks mentioned here except for one trick. That is "Solution 3: Disable The USB Selective Suspend Setting". Because I don't dare to apply the process. Guys, please suggest to me, can I follow the trick mentioned there without any issue?

USB Selective Suspend is actually one of the leading causes for a USB device not communicating with the computer. I actually encountered a nearly identical issue with my own gaming controller(not a PS5 controller) where it just stopped responding and the computer stopped recognizing it. And the only way I could get it working again was to turn off USB Selective Suspend.

I can say that, you can safely turn off USB Selective Suspend. It won't cause your computer any harm. And if that doesn't work to get your controller working again, you can always turn it back on if that is your desire. All USB Selective Suspend does is allow your computer to manage power and data flow to each port and essentially "sleep" a port it deems as not active enough to require full power. Oddly enough though, sometimes windows forgets to wake the port back up when it's needed(You will find that windows forgets to do a lot of things). Leaving that off will not cause any damage to your computer at all. And as I said, if it doesn't work to solve your problem, you can just turn it back on if you want.

Have you tried using a program like DS4Windows if it is a PS4 controller? Or is it directly saying that your PC cannot establish a connection with your PC if you try to connect it via Bluetooth?
