NEW LONDON - After weeks of failed negotiations with the greedy government of Liberty, and, with Kusari providing mere words as assistance to our Crown, the Empire of Rheinland has proven once more to be the sole ally of Bretonia in Sirius! While, for a brief period of time, the relation with Rheinland was unclear, in part due to reported skirmishes in the Omega Border Worlds, the Armed Forces and Government officials assure us that our eastern interstellar neighbour remains a firm ally in the face of any problems faced by the Realm. Already, officials have revealed that they are working to secure new agreements with the Rheinland Military to better cope with the ever-present danger of Corsair and Hessian raids, as well as providing for higher degrees of security along the trade lane infrastructure so that convoys travelling the highly dangerous region may reach their destination safely. On the economic side, both BMM and Bowex are pursuing closer ties with their Rheinland counterparts, with spokepeople promising an 'immediate increase in commerce between the two Houses'. Meanwhile, Kruger has already begun to implement a larger number of transport convoys bound for Bretonia with valuable aluminum -- an ore that is smelted in Bretonia and further used for shipbuilding materials and a multitude of other appliances. In the difficult times faced by our nation, Rheinland will remain a close partner of the Crown and provide much-required support, be it on the military or economic side of external and internal affairs.
