' Wrote:Unselie, you say its undoable because of pieces in the Story being moved.
The two that come to mind are the Magellan Jumpgate and the Leeds Jumphole. Not only that but the changes to Leeds itself come in to play at some point im sure.
If they play The SP Campaign off a completely clean installation, no mods at all. They shouldnt have a single problem with the campaign.
Yes. DISCOVERY(4.85) IS UNPLAYABLE IN SP.
Vanilla is not.
I haven't played the game for 3+ years, and the craving hits me again. Still remember the cheesiness of MP where you could trade for a couple hours and then ba-da-bing end up being able to afford the best **** thus skipping out nearly the entire game, so to prevent burnout from getting money too fast, I decided to run through the SP campaign.
So I load Discovery 4.84 and start SP, and just like the OP I'm getting hammered at the same mission. Pass it by some miracle, then of course the next one is totally off the charts. Jesus. At least put a warning in the readme file, or the mod's download page, hell even a single sentence on the description will be fine. I did read the included docs, the only mention of SP is about activating Open SP.
Guess I'm gonna have to play another mod, which is a shame since the high level ships I saw being sold in Liberty looked pretty neat. We'll probably still play it in our LAN games, but I was really looking forward to exploring the campaign again. Oh well.
" In Defeat, Malice; In Victory, Revenge! "
Or, you could play multiplayer, with the realization that it takes days of trading to get the money for biggest ships, and that that isn't even the only requirement.
