Founded in 831 AS (747 AGS) onboard the Davos base within the Zurich system, the Zurich Accord styles itself as an alternative to the Famille style of leadership in the Corse. Though not without its traditional rituals and decorum, the Accord sets its sight on Sirius as a whole, a new Corse for a new Sirius with the hopes of extending their influence to all the Great Houses, while attempting to counter the influence of their one true enemy, the Outcasts.
Members are freely accepted from all over Sirius to become Associé(e)s, but only a select few become 'L'Un(e) de Nous' (One of Us). As a result of the more diverse background of the Accord, some of the traditional Corsican ideals are less prevalent among its members, though the ones that are still held to are done so more strongly than would be expected of a typical Corsican.
Perhaps the most important of these traditions is that of the Omerta. With the Gallic Navy still having uncertain intentions towards the Unione as a whole, the Accord finds that the best policy with them is that of the appearance of compliance with their demands. Members however will not discuss business with the Navy and their Gendarmerie lackeys, and will not seek their assistance in matters if it can be helped.
Though with the increasing autonomy being given to the Unione in Provence, some order must be enforced. Independent pilots found to be breaking Gallic laws in Provence may be given no more than a simple slap on the wrist, while those found to be acting against the Accord's interests will be lucky to leave the system with their ship intact.
Current goals include:
Increasing their tourism revenue both in and out of Gallia.
Establish new markets for Nox.
Stop the spread of Outcast influence.
Conduct limited trade interdiction in the Taus.
Limit Gallic Union interference within the Provence system.
Secure alliances and trade deals within the larger Sirius.
Apologies for the recent and limited bout of activity recently, I've been hit pretty hard by The Depressi, but we're still hoping to go for gold as they say, and keep trying to bring new and interesting interactions within Gallia and its surroundings!
