Quietly, she gazed back at White as she laid upon her tough, judging, glare of concern. Unmoved, or perhaps not too caring, Revenant was still enjoying the cupcake, smirking at her question, delaying the answer.
Catherine sat back slowly, until she was leant against the seats backrest. Her eyes were cast down as she contemplates the reponse. Perhaps this was why she has been drawn here - perhaps she was meant to prepare other for these Sentinels. On the likely chance that all this does go sideways. Whether she had been drawn here purposefully for this or not, Catherine finds herself drawing resolve from the idea. Now that she knew it could happen, she had to do something about it. Right?
She looks up wearing a sheepish grin on her face.
"Apologies Revenant for being a bit intense there. I'm tired and this is quite the rollercoaster for me. I didn't mean to, ur... be that serious with you. Do other folks know about these Sentinels? The Core? The Order?"

There it was again, that nonchalant behaviour, finishing up the little treat. The night had been a long one, especially after resting upon a hard surface, and knowing that Lazurith ran away, she only assumed the worst was due to come, so she merely enjoyed what little respite there was to have.
"It is more than likely that both know of them, but the Order knows more than the Core, but both of them have been lacking in both drive and ambition. In terms of experience, I and the few who work along me have the most experience. Harbinger has the most innate knowledge, what with his ability to simply read these arcane artifacts as a psychic.
And... as I mentioned the night before, you don't need to concern yourself with the Sentinels. They will only go after those who have a memetic mark, people who disturb them - or people who trespass. Or that someone passes on the information for you to receive said mark... Don't get caught up in playing hero, you will only get yourself killed, o worse - captured by other organisations. This is my mission, not yours to worry yourself about. Do not trust the others who claim to be working against them, they will only end up using you as pawns in their little political game. I once foolishly accepted a peace proposal, to work against ou mutual threat... Only to be backstabbed in their silly little petty revenge games.
Humanity never truly changes. In the end, people crave power."
Taking another quick sip from the flask, she sealed up her mask again, grumbling a little at the pained memories.
Catherine leaves a quiet moment or two in the conversation, sensing that Revenant was mulling over some recollection. Besides, she needed a moment herself to process what was being said. Her mind was racing from all these revelations that have come at her like a torrent. A relationship between artifacts and psychics. Memetic marks. Now that she had some mental space and fortitude, she began putting them in the box marked 'unpack later'.
"I do appreciate you sharing with me all this information. About the Sentinels. About this mission of yours. About the universe we find ourselves in. You've only just taught me these things and I already feel that, admittedly obsessive, curiousity relaxing. Thank you."
Catherine smiles, wide and genuine, as she reaches for the last piece of her chosen Yam cake. She was finding them far more palatable now than the first bite, especially when paired with mouthfuls of her coffee.
"And for saving my sodding life! Stars, I haven't even said thanks for that yet. Is there something I can do to repay you for that? You mentioned you had some errands on your mind? I know your mission is your own, and whilst I may be a little inquisitive from time to time I'm not going to step on that. I'll prepare myself for what might come but... anyway, surely there is something unrelated you need a Freelancer for?"
"I'm a whizz at spinball, if you need to break a high-score."
