They didn't listen, your so-called "lawful" forces have ignored us, assaulted us, and have de-facto legitimised the Union. We were forced to retreat against such an overwhelming force. Once again, we are pro-Sirian, we try to not take sides, but our hand is forced. To any of the Bundschuh, Hessians and Unioners, fellow Maquisards, Brigands - we will do all we can to block the trade path between the houses as it is the one trade highway that can sustain the Union. We hope that from this day forward we can work together in Zurich and Cologne, if not for being allies, then against our common enemies, which those controlled by your Emperor and Government have become to us.

We will provide any support we can, both directly and through the little material aid we can spare, to any of you who will aim to disrupt the trade and movement of diplomats and militaries through Cologne and Zurich. Our propaganda arms will try our best to educate and plea to the rest of Sirius, that what your Emperor and Government and Corporations have succumbed to is bordering on insane, they are feeding a military regime that revolves around oppression and future aggressive expansion. We understand that none of the three diplomatic liners successfully made it to Planet New Paris intact, so if you and yours were able to destroy them after the armada passed into Gallic space, please allow me to be the first to thank you for finishing what the Bundschuh started. This probable thanks is the primary reason we're replying to your outreach, considering the admittedly rather abysmal reputation the Maquis have cultivated for themselves until now, to our knowledge. We do also have to question, admittedly, how an organization with "little material aid to spare" can apparently field one or more battleship-class vessels as suggested by your attached guncam image.

Considering the Gallic Union and Council that preceded it chose to expediate a perceived "return to normalcy" both to address Gallia's war-weariness as well as to bring back the Royalist hardliners and Burgundians into its fold, it does necessitate I ask the question: What, exactly, do you and yours intend to do differently in the political sense to effect actual change in your Nation or Territory?

We will await your response while mulling over what options may be available to us.

Thank you for confirming which of the two of you it was addressing us in the initial transmission.

As it presently stands, there is no "we" in this hypothetical equation; because as you implied from your end, the Bundschuh have no reason to trust your still-unstated ultimate intentions. There are times where haste is a desirable thing, but there are also times for caution and careful analysis of the situation at hand, and of the belligerents involved in it.

Had you and your compatriots been as critical of the Council's intentions as we are towards yours, perhaps there would not be a Gallic Union to have to fight against alongside the Rheinlandic State.


If you are truly as pro-Sirian as your Admiral claims, perhaps it would be wiser to not go out of your way to immediately alienate a Sirian organization who has gotten around to your distress call.
