Capital to capital routes were are already possible for booze, yeah. Passengers were also set up that way, sadly it was taking them anywhere except a capital that was garbage.

Fortunately Haste added a load of new pricing functionality and Petitioner did a bunch of work assinging out commodity placements and demand weightings to fix that.

it is good to see more stuff that can be traded. for now many systems are with very low stuff to trade, and always the same thing to the same place isn't good ... except for rats because they know that someone has to go to that specific place.

I miss the thrill too, believe me, but it's really really hard to make this remotely worthwhile while also keeping it from being giga-busted. We're looking into ways to make this happen again, but I wouldn't hold your breath over it.

Right now most bases just buy unrefined ores for their base value. Working on integrating ore into cargo piracy is a high priority for me, but it must be done carefully; an incautious implementation of this could very easily make POB refining simply not worthwhile, and nobody wants that.
We would cargo pirate ore and then delivery it far away- was very satisfying for unlawfuls - I guess this won't come back with current system
