you will have heard of my new appointment by now. For the time being you are provisionally in charge of the Oversector South. I will see to institutionalise this as soon as possible. This explicitly excludes the Dublin System. I will appoint a new second in command for the Oversector in the near future who will exclusively focus on our operations in this system. For the time being that is my responsibility.
I will announce these changes to a wider circle in the Armed Forces soon but I wanted to let you know first. I hope you will live up to the challenge.

Let me start by congratulating you on the new position, i can see no other suiting the role better after Captain Sommerville. This is indeed an important responsibility you've tasked me with, i was comfortable leaving the tough decisions up to you as your second in command, i do better in the battlefield than behind a desk, which is frankly more stressful than being shot at by a number of capital ship guns. However i will try my utmost of live up to your expectations.

thank you, I hope I will not disappoint. I like to believe experience can make up for the lack of youthful energy I once brought to the table.
Trust in your talents is my advice to you. I have worked alongside you for almost a decade and I have no doubts you are capable of more than field command if you set your mind to it.
Either way you will find the south is one of the theatres where there is not a lot happening between strategic considerations, which now have become my responsibility and operational command. You will most likely not have to deal with a rapidly evolving situation like the one in Dublin on your own. Also, should you ever feel you need it, you can always ask for my advice.

It has been that long? time sure flies when you are drinking tea and fighting. You have a lot on your plate and i rather not take up too much of your time, i will perform this new roles to the best of my ability and consult you if need be. i wish you the best of luck going forward.

As a sidenote, I am trying to establish deeper cooperation between the Rheinland Military and ourselves in the Omegas at the moment. If possible you should lead a combined operation in the near future as a show of the matters importance to us. If your calendar allows for it that is, your other obligations should not suffer.

Well i can't use my usual excuses of ship malfunction as i just requisitioned a new crusader last month so yes i will be present at the meeting. Deeper relations with Rhienlanders? how about a drinking contest, i jest of course. Some joint operations in the omegas would be beneficial toward that end, if i don't come down with the flu i would be present for this operation.
