It is in this year I found myself last playing Freelancer. This year's flavor was "Freelancer Discovery USA 24/7", as it had a 'well balanced' number of players at the time. Not too many to cause my weakling of a computer to crash, but enough to keep play interesting.

After a few years of playing, life picks up, and the CD copy of this game is placed in a Disk Booklet, along with the other classics such as:
  • Diablo 2
  • Star Wars: Republic Commando
  • Fable - The Lost Chapters
  • Baldur's Gate - Throne of Bhaal
  • Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords

If you can tell from the list, my tastes slowly trended in a roleplaying direction. It is here, that my cheap, cheap, cheap self picks up a free TableTop RolePlayingGame called Pathfinder (D&D 3. ed).

I've been a DM/player pretty much since then.

---

I find myself coming back to Freelancer Discovery with more of an appreciate for role-play, and building a collaborative world/story. While I tend not to lean into the political/idealism roleplay too much, it may come to me in time.

These past few weeks have been spent getting my feet under me (including the returning player assist). Thank you all for your endless patience as I truly re-learn the game from the ground up. During this time, I've checked out the factions that are new to me; joined up with the Starfliers (be sure to check'em out, we're pretty cool and swanky faction if i do say so myself)

---

If I see you in-space I'll be flying as "James Weatherly" running around in various '\S/'-based ship names. Feel free to shoot a DM, or message me directly if anyone wants to hangout.

Thank you all for the warm welcome,

Safe skies, and GodSpeed ~
