I've picked it up recently and it's a lot of fun. It's like Freelancer meets FTL in a fun semi-linear space RPG. You get to design and customise your own ship, research new tech, explore planets for anomalies, sort of trade, crew management and interact with different factions. It has a pretty satisfying gameplay loop of exploring new systems, blowing things up, and then going back home and upgrading your ship. My only real critiques are at the start farming for resources and research points is a bit tedious but it eventually evens out.
There's some comparisons you could draw to Starsector though that's more like Mount and Blade in space and this is more like... Stalker in space (but with like Star Trek vibes)?
It's a solid 8/10 so far for me. But I can't help but imagine how good it would be with multiplayer rip (like all these great singleplayer space games).
