Research Report: Anomalous Gravitational Node Investigation

I. General Overview

On 20 / 10 / 834AS, a joint exploration team consisting of members from the Starfliers and the Auxo encountered a highly unusual energy source within the Turtle Creek Nebula. This report details the initial observations, preliminary analysis, and future considerations of this anomaly.

Upon entering the nebula, the team was able to triangulate a gravitational nodal which resisted initial probes and even 2 salvos from the Titania. It's energy rate absorption notes a considerable well of resistance, while simultaneous converting/absorbing particle kinetic force into a space-time flux. This resistance stands at 1.4e7 Mega-Joules of energy before data could potentially be extracted. During this survey of the nodal, the team encountered a massive, alien structure. This structure, hereafter referred to as the "Allision Anomaly", exhibited advanced technology far beyond current material comprehension. It was capable of:
  • Energy Manipulation: The "Allision Anomaly" demonstrated the ability to harness and manipulate vast amounts of energy, as evidenced by the intense energy signatures detected by the ships' sensors.
  • Spatial Distortion: The anomaly appeared to distort the local spacetime continuum, creating unusual gravitational anomalies and affecting the flow of time.
  • Advanced Sensor Systems: The "Allision Anomaly" possessed sophisticated sensor systems capable of detecting and tracking the ships' approach from a significant distance and automatically soliciting docking protocols un-initiated.

II. Analysis of the "Allision Anomaly"
  • Material Composition: The Anomaly's outer shell is composed of an unknown material that is highly resistant to damage. Preliminary analysis suggests that the material may be a form of exotic matter, possibly derived from dark energy or dark matter.
    • Further, while the composition is unknown, there was a comparison made against a reported similar "Allision Anomaly" within the Coronado System. Exhibiting similar damages.
  • Energy Source: The "Allision Anomaly"'s energy source is unknown, but it appears to be highly efficient and sustainable. It is possible that the "Allision Anomaly" is tapping into a previously undiscovered energy source or utilizing a form of advanced energy generation technology.
    • Further, while this 'gate' has listed substantially, hyper-tunneling appears stabilized. If so, this is an incredible topic of discovery that it is able to 'curve' its egress tunneling to maintain its course and destination without the connection being severed completely.
  • Purpose: The exact purpose of the "Allision Anomaly" appear to be similar to that of a HyperSpace transit system. Perhaps a relic of an ancient highway system, and a beacon for interstellar travel.
    • Further, throughout the scans of Kansas, there appear to be no other similar structures. And if the closest, relatively similar object rests in Coronado, then it either denoted the great lengths this highway system traverses, or how 'isolated' and distinct this "Allision Anomaly" is; highlighting further importance.

III. Implications and Future Research

The discovery of the Anomaly has profound implications for our understanding of the universe and our place within it. Further research is necessary to:
  • Understand the Anomaly's Origins: Investigate the origin of the "Allision Anomaly" and its builders.
  • Study the Anomaly's Damage: Analyze the surrounding damages, nebula composition, and past moons of Olathe to determine 'starting' parameters of the system, and material composition and properties of the "Allision Anomaly".
  • Explore the Anomaly's Interior: If possible, conduct a thorough exploration of the Anomaly's interior to gain insights into its function and purpose.
  • Study the curved : Analyze the listing of the "Allision Anomaly"

In conclusion, the Anomaly at Turtle Creek represents a significant scientific discovery. Continued research and exploration are essential to unlock the secrets of this enigmatic structure and its potential impact on the future.

[20.10.2024 18:48:59] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Hail. Taking an interest in the surroundings?
[20.10.2024 18:49:40] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Aye. I ran a cartographic scan of this system maybe a quarter cycle ago. Had some free time to revisit
[20.10.2024 18:49:50] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: This strange station back here
[20.10.2024 18:50:28] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Also need to check up on the gravity anomoly in Turtle Creek. Something drew this wreck called the SideWinders in
[20.10.2024 18:50:55] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Mm. This is our third orbit of the system today. Although that nebula, Turtle Creek, some odd energy signatures emitted from
[20.10.2024 18:50:57] A/)-ACV-Titania: there.
[20.10.2024 18:51:31] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Been working with Sovereign on the South East Dark matter clouds, but these definetly are something else
[20.10.2024 18:52:05] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: For instances, I'm detecting some latecy grav eddies, even as far as we are from the source.
[20.10.2024 18:52:20] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: *low latency
[20.10.2024 18:53:09] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: If you're available to escort, I'm confident our sensor suites can triagulate the flutuation source
[20.10.2024 18:53:12] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Mmhm. My sensor operator reported no obvious matches to signatures we've encountered before.
[20.10.2024 18:53:24] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Although that is hardly surprising, very rare we ever come out this far.
[20.10.2024 18:53:58] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: It's quite the lovely system. Remote, un-touched, and swarming with grav anomalies.
[20.10.2024 18:54:40] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Liberty presumably has an interest, going by that array over there
[20.10.2024 18:54:41] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Taking Topeka's influence of Olathe as evidence
[20.10.2024 18:55:12] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Ahh, that comms array is of Liberty make?
[20.10.2024 18:55:37] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Visually it appears to be, although the communications channel is encrypted
[20.10.2024 18:56:14] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Unless you know a local Lane Hacker happy to break into it, I can only speculate
[20.10.2024 18:56:26] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: I Believe DSE may be the source. There is an open request to chart out this system.
[20.10.2024 18:57:21] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Potentially extending the trade lanes past Suspquehanna. However the Dark Matter presense, and gravs may make that --
[20.10.2024 18:57:24] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: -- unreliable
[20.10.2024 18:57:43] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Logical conclusion, although I wonder why.
[20.10.2024 18:58:31] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: My educated guess would be Planet Topeka below us.
[20.10.2024 18:59:10] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: It's spetographic patterns indicate it could become a source of Methane, and other complex gases.
[20.10.2024 18:59:47] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: and Planet Wichita is likely colonizable, if it's massive storm surges can be accounted for.
[20.10.2024 19:00:19] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: <calibrations complete. Sensors full open. Awaiting coordinates>
[20.10.2024 19:00:19] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: I suppose considering Liberty imports quite a lot of gasseous products. This would be a means to reduce that somewhat
[20.10.2024 19:00:46] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Sorry, speaking as an ex Navy, I tend to look at things from a strategic point of view.
[20.10.2024 19:01:30] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Ahh, pleased to meet a fellow Libertonian. I'm ex-Ageria myself.
[20.10.2024 19:01:51] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Ahh, forgive my callousness. James Weatherly, please to meet you
[20.10.2024 19:02:06] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Mmhm. Usually we go by codenames but I could never suffer that nonsense.
[20.10.2024 19:02:26] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: I'm Vengeance, although I'm Amy Cromwell. Venator of the technocracy.
[20.10.2024 19:02:37] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Been retired for the past 5 years, and joined up with the Starfliers only with the past half cycle.
[20.10.2024 19:03:14] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: Pleased to meet you Venorator Vengence.
[20.10.2024 19:03:24] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Quite the nice ring that
[20.10.2024 19:03:55] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Hah. Just call me Amy and be done with it, be here all day with codenames and 'protocols'.
[20.10.2024 19:04:28] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Well understood Miss Cromw--Ah Amy.
[20.10.2024 19:05:29] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Pleased to meet you all the same. Anyhow, I presume we're both on the same page of curiosity here.
[20.10.2024 19:05:42] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: What is in that suspicious looking cloud over there.
[20.10.2024 19:06:05] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Aye, I believe that we are.
[20.10.2024 19:06:35] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: I don't know about your past experiences, but I swore I...met something...in this cloud
[20.10.2024 19:06:43] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Some...watcher
[20.10.2024 19:06:53] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: A watcher?
[20.10.2024 19:07:40] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Yes, it's quite perplexing.
[20.10.2024 19:07:57] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Can you... describe this watcher?
[20.10.2024 19:09:02] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: If you've been to Tau-23 before, there are pulses of Baxter Anomalies. it was similar, yet not
[20.10.2024 19:09:35] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: I don't know how to describe it, but it struck me like a sentinel, more than an anomaly
[20.10.2024 19:10:00] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Isn't there something like that in Kepler?
[20.10.2024 19:10:14] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: I would love to hear your thoughts on this matter further in.
[20.10.2024 19:10:18] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: Kepler...
[20.10.2024 19:10:37] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: I can't say I've been in that system. Not since the storms took over
[20.10.2024 19:10:49] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: It's uh... toasty. I'll word it like that
[20.10.2024 19:11:31] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: I'll admit to you, I never used to pay attention to things like this. Recently though I've become somewhat curious
[20.10.2024 19:12:16] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: I appreciate the curiosity. It is always there, but often we tell ourselves we have other things to do.
[20.10.2024 19:12:45] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Usually I'm directing this ship and defensive efforts for our people but well.. the years drag on.
[20.10.2024 19:13:04] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: That was me for pretty much 35 years until that absense of time and structure really through a wrench into my priorities.
[20.10.2024 19:13:27] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Well Amy, shall we slake our curiosity?
[20.10.2024 19:13:46] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Mmhm. Might as well, we won't be around forever
[20.10.2024 19:14:14] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Well agreed. I have marked a Wreck called the Rattlesnake.
[20.10.2024 19:14:31] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: Do you know it?
[20.10.2024 19:14:47] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: We do, I've requested my helmsman plot a course
[20.10.2024 19:14:59] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Suggesting he not hit anything in the process this time.
[20.10.2024 19:15:23] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Sensors on, recordings started.
[20.10.2024 19:15:35] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: engaging cruise drives
[20.10.2024 19:16:07] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: [Feint] Set condition yellow. Prepare for.. well. Anything when entering the nebula.
[20.10.2024 19:17:17] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: This nebula is quite.. eerie. Even by nebula standards.

[20.10.2024 19:19:43] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Acknowledged, 2.8 clicks port
[20.10.2024 19:20:06] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Too far for visual identification, although it might be related to our friend here.
[20.10.2024 19:20:34] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Do you have the object on scanning lock?
[20.10.2024 19:20:57] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: We do. Let's take a looksie.
[20.10.2024 19:21:04] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: If so, Note this
[20.10.2024 19:21:14] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: It is a vessel of some kind
[20.10.2024 19:21:42] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Alien by all degrees, yet, it is able to link into our nav computers and a formation entity
[20.10.2024 19:21:48] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: *as a
[20.10.2024 19:22:14] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Any real scan by us is just triggering master cautions on the array.
[20.10.2024 19:22:30] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Definitely Alien by that alone.

[20.10.2024 19:24:17] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Well I can see it out of the bridge window.
[20.10.2024 19:24:18] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: Noting 1.75 Click, visual confirmed
[20.10.2024 19:24:36] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Looks like the kind of thing I saw in Kepler
[20.10.2024 19:24:45] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: By Ames?
[20.10.2024 19:24:58] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Mmhm. Looks just like it
[20.10.2024 19:25:58] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Similar to Tau-23's as well.
[20.10.2024 19:26:24] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Meaning this may be able to generate data collections with a Corvo Class vessel
[20.10.2024 19:26:39] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Have you ever figured out a link between these things out of interest?
[20.10.2024 19:27:40] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: My theory is that these entities are 'nodal points'. There are various aspects of anomalies, gravity interractions which --
[20.10.2024 19:28:20] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: -- each emit EMS data as waves and particals. And that nodal sections are where multiple sources overlap, in a --

[20.10.2024 19:28:57] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: If it is a node, and these things are therefore connected. What are they all connected to?
[20.10.2024 19:29:28] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: In the instance of Tau-23. There are fragements of what I theorize is an ancient planetary geode, long since destroyed...
[20.10.2024 19:29:58] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: -- which means that this entity is not the gravitational source. There is some other emission in this cloud
[20.10.2024 19:30:24] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: We could send a round down range at it and see what it does.

[20.10.2024 19:44:33] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: A deep shadow
[20.10.2024 19:44:38] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: I caught a glimpse just now
[20.10.2024 19:45:43] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Object is 3 clicks
[20.10.2024 19:45:57] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Quite large, the fact we can see the shadow from this range
[20.10.2024 19:46:25] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: I'm sensing a docking modal??
[20.10.2024 19:47:24] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Yes...there is a regular pulse for SYN-ACK on my docking computer
[20.10.2024 19:47:46] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Well. If it supports docking, we should be especially wary of anything on the way out, especially in here
[20.10.2024 19:48:04] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: A jump hole perhaps?
[20.10.2024 19:48:17] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: But JHs never cast shadows.
[20.10.2024 19:48:28] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: A jump hole wouldn't cast - Exactly.
[20.10.2024 19:48:39] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: By their nature they stream in light and nearby matter
[20.10.2024 19:48:44] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JWL Yes yes
[20.10.2024 19:48:58] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: There are no station signatures coming out of it so it can only mean one thing. That thing is a gate.
[20.10.2024 19:49:09] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: A gate?
[20.10.2024 19:49:29] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Mmhm. Let's take a look.
[20.10.2024 19:49:50] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: But...DSE is still under the scanning phase, they wouldn't have been able to make a gate so quickly
[20.10.2024 19:49:54] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: appeaching to 1 click
[20.10.2024 19:50:00] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: *approcching
[20.10.2024 19:50:04] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: If this is what I think it is..
[20.10.2024 19:50:52] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Look at the size of it...
[20.10.2024 19:51:01] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: And...the damage?
[20.10.2024 19:51:13] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Definitely seen better days
[20.10.2024 19:51:38] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Although I've seen these before, there used to be one in Coronado before certain uh, 'parties', blew it up.
[20.10.2024 19:51:46] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: High velocity impact, tensile breaks in the lower right section
[20.10.2024 19:52:08] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: No burn marks, or scarring from high heat absorption
[20.10.2024 19:52:30] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW:...
[20.10.2024 19:52:40] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: This patterning...
[20.10.2024 19:52:58] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: I swear I've seen a ship of similar design...
[20.10.2024 19:53:19] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: Yes, like a pock-marked metal
[20.10.2024 19:53:33] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: [Gun crews, train all batteries to port and stand-by.] Distinctly alien is what it is
[20.10.2024 19:54:15] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: High concentrations of water...Impact fractures
[20.10.2024 19:54:23] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Perhaps...
[20.10.2024 19:54:29] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Have you ever seen these before?
[20.10.2024 19:55:11] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Not personally. My director noted the destroyed gate in Coronoda
[20.10.2024 19:55:30] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Mmhm. That one was distinctly more active than this appears to be
[20.10.2024 19:55:41] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: And the material appears seems slightly distinct from those of Earhart
[20.10.2024 19:57:10] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: If you find yourself in Earhart, in the North East quadrant. Find vessel designation SD362. it is far alien, yet demo--

[20.10.2024 19:57:33] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: I just hope nothing comes out of this one.
[20.10.2024 19:57:55] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: The defunct gate in Coronado is likely the closest rembalnce
[20.10.2024 19:58:12] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Question, do you have Planet Olathe on your nav maps?
[20.10.2024 19:58:23] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Uh.. stand-by.
[20.10.2024 19:58:38] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: or rather, ex-planet Olathe, now moon to planet Topeka
[20.10.2024 19:58:56] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Not on our charts anyway.
[20.10.2024 19:59:18] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW:Ahh, sending nav info to your navigator.
[20.10.2024 19:59:59] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: :<The moon of Olathe was once it's own planet with its own moon system. Until gravity swells pulled it into Topeka's orbit>
[20.10.2024 20:00:34] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: <The moons were presumably destroyed, and are suspect to form the rings of Planet Topeka>
[20.10.2024 20:01:16] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Interesting, my navigator is reading out the transmission to me
[20.10.2024 20:01:22] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: What is only -some- of the moons became Topeka's rings. And one other, sizable, primarily composed of water, --
[20.10.2024 20:01:44] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: --and which ever element defracts purple, collided with this ancient gate
[20.10.2024 20:02:27] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: What holds these things together I wonder, that must have been a.. well. Planetary scale impact.
[20.10.2024 20:03:40] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: I wonder how old this one is compared to the Coronado gate
[20.10.2024 20:04:10] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: Each of the three support arms show signitifcant damage, yet there is still a stable worm tunnel
[20.10.2024 20:05:05] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: You mentioned the one in Coronado was destroyed. Is if classified to ask how?

[20.10.2024 20:09:32] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Well if the gravity nodal itself can take 14.3 million MJs. The gate in Coronado must have taken a massive amount
[20.10.2024 20:09:56] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: no patrols....
[20.10.2024 20:10:21] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: and dispite it's make, no Nomads to see around

[20.10.2024 20:11:28] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: What is the standing of Auxo with the Starlight Research Consortium?
[20.10.2024 20:12:13] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Truth be told I would need to check
[20.10.2024 20:12:43] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: There is as much chatter relating to our standing with various groups it is near impossible to keep track
[20.10.2024 20:13:16] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Understood. If...there is good standing, I'd recommend reaching out. There was some...analysis ongoing that ---

[20.10.2024 20:17:27] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: Mmhm. I was of the belief that would be the case
[20.10.2024 20:17:29] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: Yet...I should warn, the survey of Kansas is nearly complete
[20.10.2024 20:18:12] '\S/'CEV-Cyllene: JW: If other corperations like DSE and Liberty are to come and stake a claim, secrecy will only slightly delay.

[20.10.2024 20:18:41] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: I figured 'protecting' this discovery would be a complete waste of time

[20.10.2024 20:22:02] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: That would be a possibility, I'm sure our people in expedition would find that very interesting

[20.10.2024 20:25:47] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: I would think that be best, yes. The average joe isn't going to connect this with an alien gate of all things
[20.10.2024 20:26:59] A/)-ACV-Titania: V: While there's every chance we do have a record of this gate, it is entirely news to me
