Greetings Overwatch...

I am writing on behalf of the Rheinland Kaiserliche Polizei, seeking your insight into an emerging matter within our borders. In recent weeks, there have been reports of AI vessels sighted near Stuttgart and Omega-7. While Rheinland Polizei typically maintains a neutral stance toward AI vessels, the recent increase in their activity suggests more than routine navigation. Our radar station at Elbe has detected unusual movements, including several AI cruisers making their way toward Omega-3 via our tradelanes.

I am fully aware that reaching out to the Order on this matter may seem ... unorthodox, especially given our current relations. Ordinarily, I would avoid involving your organization directly. However, due to recent escalations, I am cautious to avoid prematurely alerting the Buro or the Military, who might interpret this as a greater threat without adequate information. This request comes from a place of pragmatism rather than protocol, recognizing that our respective organizations’ paths do not often cross smoothly, particularly in the Omegas and Sigmas.

Given the Order Overwatch unique position and intelligence network, we are hopeful that you may have encountered similar vessels or have knowledge of their intentions.

• Are these vessels acting independently?
  
• Do they represent a larger AI entity with defined goals, or are they simply engaging in autonomous exploration?
  And most critically...
  
• Should Rheinland be prepared for potential conflict, or can we expect these interactions to remain benign?
  
• Are these vessels operating as scouts or preparatory forces for a larger presence?
  
• Are they equipped with specific technologies or weapon systems that we should be wary of?
  Moreover ...
  
• Do you have insights on how these AI entities organize and communicate, particularly if they are capable of coordinating with other forces or even utilizing stealth tactics to evade detection?
  
• Do you believe this behavior is simply an anomaly, or should we prepare for further incursions and possibly even direct interactions?
  

Our reports suggest that some of these vessels are utilizing tradelanes, possibly indicating an interest in our commercial or logistical routes.

Any insights into similar AI activities or known behavior patterns within Order-controlled territories would be highly valuable to us.

Upon returning to her private office Inspektorin Freyja Wolf quickly noted the foreign data pad sitting on her desk. It switches on and began to play a massage as she nears. A distorted male voice spoke.

"Greetings herr Inspektorin Wolf,

I'm afraid that your message to the Overwatch did not reach its intended location on its own. You are in luck however as it was intercepted before other forces took notice off it and passed your message on until it reached the proper location. Personally I don't know why a House police officer would go through the trouble of contacting a "terrorist" Organization with a known tendency to infiltrate, your risked casting suspicion upon yourself if your original transmission was not intercepted by us. I digress. You wish to know more about the AI and the threat they might face towards Rheinland?"

"I will ease your worry when I say that the AI are no major threat to major house or organization then a gang of pirates. I am honestly surprised that you do not already know this information given one of Rheinland's... acquaintances in the Omicrons. Of course I mean no other then the Core. They themselves took an AI held world and sacked it of anything that looked remotely useful. In fact they have already managed to integrate many AI technologies with their own. Back to the AI themselves. The Overwatch has reason to believe that the AI have no more then a few stations to their name and lack any heavy industries to produce anything bigger then a Cruiser on their own. As such the Overwatch does not believe that the AI can mount an effective offensive attacks against Rheinalnd held systems on their own. They tend to be more focused on the Core."

"The Overwatch is not aware of any command structure that the AI's have. In fact there are whispers that many AI have come to work with The Technocracy. Yet we have no hard evidence of this yet. More then likely the ones you are running into are those who operate on their own or in small groups. Once again any assault on Rheinland held locations could be delt with by the Rheinland Military. Though it is a possibly that they might see the understanding between the Core and Rheinland as cause to attack Rheinland interest such as hitting convoys and the like."

"As to their tactics, I would expect pirate tactics. Many snub craft with a Cruiser proving their heaviest support. Possibly being supplied by The Technocracy it is not outside the realm of possibility to see them making use of a cloaking unit. However their are a few AI that adopt a more observational roll, I imagine these one tend to make themselves scares when humans are around given they normally operate out of a Cruiser and most houses take... note of a cruiser class craft flying around their territory. The Overwatch overall see the current AI "threat" as non substantial to divert recourses and agents too."

"I do hope that this satisfies your request. A word of warning as well, be careful when attempting to contact us in the future. For this one instance I will have an agent shadow you. Simply leave a note or data pad lying around with your message and it will find its way to the Overwatch. I would also step away from this data tablet as it is about to self-destruct"

The message ends and the data tablet begins to spark before static begins to wash over the screen. In a few moments the data tablet is nothing more then scrap metal.
