Police should be able to escort traders in their space if requested at any time, in any place, and with whatever they so choose.

Police should be able to escort corporations into Independent Worlds if certain requirements are met, such as the shipment being important enough, diplomacy being made to let the police do this, or the faction bribes the police to the point of blindness. In other words, if the RP is right, they can use independent worlds.

Police should never escort a corporation in another house's space unless given explicit permission by the authorities of that house for special RP events.

It looks like there's a majority here, and they are the results I was hoping for. Thank you.

I do think it is important if you are using this for the point of support for a standpoint in any negotiations then you should actually discuss the point involved.
Not some vague question that holds little relevance to the point you are seeking the support on.

Have to say I agree with this. I mean the situation that this is supposed to shed light on is a much more complicated one then the scenarios you provided as the premise of this thread and as the poll questions.

This is a general poll concerning Police escorting Corporate vessels. No mention of any private negotiations has been raised here...until now.

Doubtless the more specific matters hinted at here will be discussed in the negotiations in due course.

Of course if you wish to have these negotiations remain private, then it would not be the best move to make mention of them here...

' Wrote:Like Zapp said. The LPI will escort in our house space, but that's it, we don't leave house space.

Edit: I will have to look at the Treaty of curacao, I don't believe we were mentioned.

Edit 2: After reading baconsoda, I agree, Special rp events yes, normal practice? prolly not.

I would have to agree with Hack on this one. The police should be allowed outside their respective house systems as long as they have a real reson to do so.

Police should protect all lawful trade ships in their ZoI. They shouldn't leave their ZoI except in dire need. For instance, as BPA the Queen is under attack in Omega-3, we should go and save her unless the BAF has it under control.

I think that's it. ZoI usually covers more than the core systems in some "on special occasions"-thing anyway.
For the Military/Navy point: no, they shouldn't escort traders, they have a bloody war to fight.

As a member of Kusari State Police, I was surprised to learn that Police will escort corporate traders outside of their jurisdiction. Some have pointed out that proper roleplay of negotiations will allow this, for example that between BAF and LN in Magellan in Cortez, but normally it shouldn't happen. That's the answer I was looking for.

Edit: Nevermind. Any gripe should be solved by PM's.
