Subject: Ongoing propulsion system supply contract
Hello Weiss Management,
Allow me to introduce myself.
I am Julius Fox, the Liberty Navy Reserve Fleet Commander of Plano Outpost, a Navy installation in the Texas system. The Outpost is home to a shipyard of classified military capability, but concerns of that section are not why I am contacting you today - The civilian operations of the shipyard are ramping up as the Navy orders wax and wane.
The logistic concerns of the shipyard are becoming quite the headache, requiring a massive variety of goods to be moved from far afield. Our civvie shipwrights are demanding that I increase the proportion of ship componentry that is allocated to them. Ship propulsion systems are their main requirement and my DSE contacts tell me there is a shortage of the systems due to a lack of raw materials further down their supply chain. Many of these raw materials, they say, originate from Rheinland and its bordering systems. While I do not like "buying foreign", as it were, it seems I have no choice in the matter as our Liberty corporations are not as well endowed as they claimed. I would expect that Weiss, a Rheinland corporation, would have access to contacts for materials that our folks do not.
Thus, I would like to establish a contract for the supply of these engine assemblies, to be fulfilled until the amount of five-hundred components are delivered. I am not privy to your overhead when it comes to moving goods from Rheinland to Liberty - we will have to come up with an acceptable figure for the systems that I require. After this amount is delivered and the components are earmarked for orders, we would then continue to receive deliveries as specified by the contracted price on an ongoing basis as our needs evolve and as the engines are mounted to the vessels in our drydocks. I would not require an exact time table on the refilling of our supplies should they be exhausted, I believe this matter is between you and your employees. The civilian builders are not terribly willing to pay extra for supremely expeditious delivery, as their needs are sporadic and subject to change.
I know we can come up with an acceptable figure that will satisfy both of us. Let me know and get back to me at your leisure.

I'm surprised our reputation is sufficient to receive this request. With your authorization, I can promise you a swift delivery of the required quotas, bar any severely unfortunate incident, as is the case in high security cargo transport. We are willing to export to you, and can do so within the week.
I believe a price of 15,200 credits per item would be acceptable? A certain private party with access to law enforcement equipment is delaying production operations within our homeland. Whilst this contract would be no trouble, we cannot go lower than that pricing on the initial delivery.
Weiss Shipping believes in improving Rheinland's standing with other House corporations through the benefits of trade and cooperation. The war with Liberty has left deep marks on both sides. Amending those wounds will take a lot of credits and materiel. Should future business between Rheinland and Liberty become more consistent and reliable, these would be in ample supply.
After the delivery is complete, let us meet for lunch at Hamburg.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen,
CEO of Weiss Shipping,
Franz Zimmer

Re: Ongoing propulsion system supply contract
Ah, thank you for the very prompt response.
We, too, hope for better relations between our houses - though I confess the diplomatic side of things is above my paygrade, I am sure stronger business links between our nations will help to mend the wounds, and we can look to a mutually profitable future together. I've ran your $15,200 number up the chain and the higher ups have found it to be quite the good deal indeed. They have given me the ok to proceed with the deal. The shipping and receiving officer aboard Plano has been notified, and he is ready to accept the deliveries and transfer the payments.
Oh, I suppose you'd need to know where Plano Outpost is located. Coordinates are attached. I thank you for your assistance in this matter.
