Founded in 815 A.S., ExoCore was initially composed of researchers from Liberty’s Ageira Technologies, Bretonia’s institute, and Rheinland’s Daumann Division. These individuals saw their work suppressed or redirected for military and economic gain, leading them to defect—vanishing into the depths of uncharted space.
With secret funding from black-market investors and the technological expertise to remain hidden, ExoCore built its first research outpost—Horizon Spire—deep within the Omicron Lost system. Over the years, ECI expanded, establishing hidden laboratories, secretive relay stations, and mobile research fleets that operated outside the constraints of lawful oversight.
