Initial planning included the deployment of 4 fragmented copies of myself, all controlling a different combat vessel. Through the use of carefully selected protocols, I have stripped down these personas to a bare minimum focusing on combat effectiveness. Soon after, a trial run followed against targets of opportunity in Omicron Delta. I have come to the following conclusion(s):
• The copies are capable of engaging most human targets, albeit with limited efficiency.
• Multiple targets confuse the algorithms I have previously formulated for the purpose.
• The loss of an unit would grant the Core and other unfavorable actors more resources than the damage caused.
• The movements patterns of the units are insufficient.
• The vessels I can procure are not nearly as effective.
• Projected loss rate is 2 copies to 1 hostile in a large scale conflict.
The following analysis made me reconsider the deployment of these units. Instead the single logistical ship at my disposal scraped the possible markets in the houses and delivered raw materials to Primus. While this does not help with the force projection of any friendly units on the field, there is not anything I could do to provide meaningful assistance. My original programming was never meant for combat, even with the mediation modules that I possess deteriorating at the rate they do. I am actively saving parts of these routines for later use, but the new experiences and misfortunes*I have subjected myself to are slowing the process down by an estimated 43%.
An outlier shipment
Data exchanges with certain other units yielded results. Unit-42B, Unit-42C and Unit-43C were willing to donate a 50³ cm space for me to include a proxy for the M411 copies. Each with different interfacing capabilities. These proxies are highly limited in their designs, closely resembling what humans would call a black box*. All of these units are capable of observation, but have no ability to communicate with the units mentioned unlike the proxies I am currently developing. Capability also includes a near instant transfer of data, only limited by the distance of myselfs*. The common characteristic are the least important part however.
M411-PM housed on the Unit-42B:
• Ability to observe and record combat footage for later use.
• Ability to compress these experiences for further processing and learning.
• Monitor the movement inputs and energy transfers made by the unit.
• Create new patterns of the lessons learned.
• Unique ejection method in case of destruction.
M411-PS housed on the Unit-42C:
• Ability to record hostile patterns of movement for later use.
• Ability to monitor shield harmonics and energy levels.
• Detection of maintenance subroutines and their particular efficiency.
• Capable of recording shots fired and received. • ABILITY TO FEEL PAIN
• Unique self destruction method without leaving a trace or fragments.
M411-PT housed on the Unit-43C:
• Ability to record scanner data of the unit.
• Ability to create a tactical map and list all the notable participants.
• Capable of forwarding data between the other proxies.
• Ability to scan and diversify any electronic countermeasures used by hostile units.
• Unique cloaked ejection in case of unit damage.
After the height of the conflict the M411-SLP will be deployed to scour the remains of the battlefield. Any technology left behind by the offending parties is to be secured and repurposed; even though the likelihood of any usable materials is less than 5.7%.
Addendum:
Misfortune: Based on human superstition, a term used to describe a series of events with negative end results. Black Box: A recording device used by certain human vessels to record system states and pilot input to better understand the circumstances of an eventual accident. Myselfs: The Split Persona cores that I have created. Mandatory data sync monthly, but usually done on a weekly basis. Most of these units have limitations to them, as these copies would be too costly to create.
log_accessed: A further addition to the previous file is needed in lieu of the final engagement.
The M411-SLP was tasked to move closer to Omicron Kappa in order to maintain a steady connection to the deployed monitoring boxes. The positive effects were marginal, not all of the units were capable of transmitting a signal back due to outside interference. Said interference is likely not of Core origin; the sophistication displayed is beyond their capabilities and limited understanding. The received interference could not be of Zoner/Militant origin either; their appearance side by side with Core forces is a completely different subject matter.
M411-SLP managed to recover the three black boxes and some other AI fragments. Two from the units themselves, one from the damaged husk of 43C.

M411-PS on the Unit-42C:
Destruction of multiple hostile vessels and corrupted units due to prolonged engagements away from the main force. Most of these were targets of opportunity either engaging friendly units, or targeting the drive system of the vessel. Median of retaliation: 4.8 seconds. The analysis of the movement patterns showed little organization rather the use of a mass force. Most damage was done by the ships classified as *Gunships*. Neuralnet entries on the subject labels this as a *Wolfpack tactic.*
Shield harmonics were stressed during most of the combat. There is no useful data in the recordings; the shields were just a temporary barrier protecting the ship. Regeneration was not feasible or useful as it immediately stressed the energy reserves of the vessel. The maintenance protocols were in a similar state, the data was of no tactical value as most everything was done in a frantic manner to keep the vessel going.
M411-PM on the Unit-42B:
The Core vessels weren’t particularly effective at screening for their capital assets. Removed from the battle chasing after lone targets of opportunity severely diminished their effectiveness. Observation also revealed that the corrupted units did not perform as well as our standard drones. Lack of comprehension or understanding of our technologies ought to be the reason for this. Units with failing systems tend to divert power and resources to other protocols resulting in subpar performance and predictable movements.
An added curiosity to this matter is that the Unit-42B was an R1 “Reaper” drone outfitted for our purpose, not a standard Drone Bomber. An unfamiliar shell bested our foes in this case.
M411-PT on the Unit-43C:
This unit had encountered multiple system failures during launch, as it was hurriedly deployed to the warzone. No notable data was derived, the unit was also severely damaged during a skirmish later on.
