Subject: Halpert

It surprises me to no end how ill equipped Halpert is at handling communications.

Let us begin again. I am Albert McKenzie, head of the Starfliers. What can I help you with, Christof?

Good evening Herr McKenzie,

It is good to see you take charge of what I am hoping will turn out to be an unfortunate misunderstanding.
I do not know if you have access to our earlier communique before Herr Halpert attempted to address our concerns - but those original requests still stand.

We have, however, noticed additional unauthorized intrusions into the Thuringia cordon by vessels of your organization. Until a satisfactory understanding is reached with the Buro, any unauthorized vessels we find will be treated as hostile intruders and dealt with accordingly.

As I am sure we would all like to avoid any unpleasant misunderstandings, it would be in everyone's best interest to reach such an understanding.

Hello, Christof.

Indeed a misunderstanding leading to any unfortunate outcomes can be avoided when communicated to the relevant party directly.

Our engineering teams are minimal, but are always up for extra work when they aren't servicing our own vessels. Would you have a datasheet or an elaborated explanation of what it is you are wanting to achieve? Heavy scanners and deep telemetry arrays come in various forms, some tailored for specific needs. Knowing these details will help our engineering teams assist you.

Earhart... we do know if this remote sector. Previous messages from a former director asked us to retrieve an artefact from that space. I believed this also gave us an entry, formal or informal. However, at this time granting us a formally documented access through the Gotha anomaly would certainly make our tasks easier, though having now relocated out of the Eastern Independent World cluster to the Taus makes the trip to Rheinland difficult. Despite the distance, I am still willing to open a data sharing channel with the Bureau. What did you need us to obtain from Earhart?

Good evening Herr McKenzie,

For the time being, we will require a schedule of regular flight plans into the Thuringia quarantine zone, and access to unedited logs for the duration of all flights through Thuringia and into the system known as Earhart on request. As I understand it, your flights are quite predictable - so a blanket flight plan schedule should do.

The Director has several projects that may request more specific services in the future, but we will contact you once that is determined.

Agree to these terms, and we can grant you provisionary access.

Hello, Christof.

Our processes, flight plans and any other information regarding how we perform our tasks are proprietary. An internal discussion has come to the decision of withdrawing any previously advised data sharing prospects. We cannot permit internal company information to be handed over at all. These will not be provided to the Bureau.

As your Director already knows, the results of our services can be paid for whenever it best suits. Our explorers will attempt to find other ways of entering the remote Earhart sector.

Good evening Herr McKenzie,

Full transparency of flight logs and sensor readings while traversing the Thuringia quarantine zone is for the safety of everyone involved. This is due to persistent and serious risk of alien infection - a matter which we take with the utmost seriousness. The Director has been willing to expedite the usual processes of requesting permission to operate within Thuringia and has refrained from escalating matters of unauthorized intrusions by the Starfliers into the quarantine zone in the past - but on good faith with the expectation of cooperation.

Should cooperation not be possible, protocol dictates that we assume that your organization has been already compromised and act accordingly.
Given our past collaborations, we would much prefer for this misunderstanding to not escalate into unpleasantries.
