Sudden high ping

Hello folks,

I'm posting this in an attempt to help MHS. (For some reason I can't mention him).

So, it all started a little over a week ago, when he tried to log in from a different location, and experienced high ping. At that point he blamed the local internet service provider, and decided to wait until he got back home.

That eventually happened, but the issue persists, even if he didn't had this issue before he left. He tried VPN, but the ping still doesn't drops under 200ms.

So I'm asking you, has anyone encountered any similar problems? Can we have any advice?
