Ferrol Starbase Welcomes Ex-Legion Dreadnought

FERROL - Republic hopefuls and citizens alike were startled early last week when a vessel bearing similarity to an Outcast Dreadnought approached Ferrol Starbase under armed escort. Now following the mandatory ten day window of special classification, Armed Forces Public Spokesperson Robert McGall revealed in a press conference yesterday that the vessel in question is in fact the Ven'Gyr, once a dreadnought of the Hellfire Legion that was captured by the Crayter Military and has since been transferred to the control of Lipari's Armed Forces. This news preceded anticipated rumors that the vessel is intended to fill the role of the Republic's flagship, a position that has been left vacant ever since the destruction of M.N.S. Aurora four years ago. Traffic between Lipari and Ferrol has increased by 78% since the announcement and subsequent press conference, with many in the public sphere traveling simply to gaze upon the storied warship. When the Lipari Solar asked some of the spectators about their thoughts on the ship's presence within Eolie and particularly at Ferrol's docks, many viewed the sight as a sign of things to come, with one saying that 'if this isn't a blessing from those above, then I don't know what could be'. Despite the considerably positive response from the public, Spokesman McGall emphasized restraint and pragmatism, both within and without, and for the public to 'simply continue offering their support in whichever way they could'. The Congregation is expected to conduct a public hearing this Saturday, as well as to hold a vote on the expansion of Ferrol's budget to accommodate the increase in heavy vessel moorage.
