One of my cargo pilots has discovered an unknown installation, currently without an IFF, placed directly in the middle of one of our trade routes - a route between Tau 37 and Kusari. Its name also does not strike me as a simple mining installation, but more as a convenient staging ground against our shipments and interests.

What are your opinions about these new neighbors? Are they a threat?

A citadel? In Tau-23? And then right on the business lane?

Have you tried contacting them? Whoever is at work there, certainly not the brightest move to place something there and call it a citadel. Then again, Tau-23 has never stopped to attract tiny brainers with projects such as this one. Certainly would've heard something if it was one of ours, right? Unless they have an exceptionally good reason to do it, I'd definitely call for a house cleaning before that little excuse of an installation actually turns into a citadel.

Whomever founded this "Citadel" is either a genius or complete fool. If it is indeed a conspiracy against us, I doubt they would hesitate to call for help if we squeezed them. In that case, we would find out who they are working for, if anyone.

But I would rather not waste ammunition tearing it apart to find out it was nothing at all, or some disinterested independent. I will contact them and see if anything comes up.

I managed to establish communications with the Citadel.

They identified themselves as Zoners founding a local residence, and that they were still within the process of establishing their base, which seems to fit well enough with what information we gathered.

I have seen several organizations of the Zoners take asylum in Tau 23, which would not make them the first with their story.

Naturally, should we discover they have become treacherous, we can give them the axe. But for now I remain optomistic we can co-exist peacefully for the time being.

Gracias for bringing this matter to my attention. Should any new information arise I will lay it here.
