My apologies for the late and divergent response to your original communique concerning your cooperation between us and the LSF. When I had seen their response to your offer of sincere and legitimate help with nothing but ego and threats. I had no idea how to respond to them without breaking the tension like glass. I believe you can understand a need for subtlety when dealing with the LSF. The Crayter Admiralty accepts your offer as we investigate and attempt to deal with the Jericho situation.

Should your hypothesis of what has happened in Ontario has caused a domino effect into the Jericho disaster is correct. Which has been found probable with cross referencing with our intel. Then it wouldn't surprise me if the LSF had been the tipping point anyway and caused this whole mess that Crayter must now deal with. The LSF had dropped the ball in the Inverness system as well while aggravating the local residents, leaving Crayter to once again bail them out. They left the system entirely even after the discovery of a "vagrant" tribe of nomads and the appearance of these "wendigos". Their recent performance has been nothing but blunders and failed bluffs that has left us with only disappointment. If we want success then it's best we keep them out of it. The taskforce they sent to monitor Jericho was lost in the blast when it went off and their supposed replacement titled "TGA One" is no where to be seen after Liberty's' rising border tensions with Kusari. So their presence is at a low for the time being within the Independent Worlds, most likely for the best.

Let me know what plans you may have in mind admiral. We'll be in touch.

For those we left behind.

Hail Fleet Admiral Garan.

Your hesitation is understandable, the Orders relation with the LSF is...mercurial at best. Some cells get along with us just fine, others hate our guts. I had hoped that over the years more would have learned to set aside their old grudges in order to focus on the Nomads, especially now they're operating so close to Liberty, but alas. At least it was good to see some still saw the benefits of working together.

That said, l am equally, if not moreso, glad that the Crayter Republic is taking this matter seriously.

We have long considered Inverness a compromised system due to the presence of Auxesia, the system hosting Vagrant Nomads and more of their infected followers only further confirms these suspicions. Regarding these 'Wendigo', it won't surprise you to hear we have run into them as well, infact one of our heavy assets chased a compromised Liberty war vessel in Galileo, nearly putting it down before it was whisked away to the Vespucci system by large Vagrant vessels. Given the proximity of the Vespucci system to Inverness, it would make sense to assume they belong to the same group of Nomads. The infected vessel was severely damaged, a small silver lining, but unfortunately it did manage to slip away under the cover of the larger Nomad warforms.

Regarding Jericho, as you are no doubt aware the Crayter Republic and the Order have monitored Jericho for years, to the point where the Atum was even stationed in its orbit. The eventual expedition to the surface, dangerous as it was, resulted in finding what appeared to be various schematics, notably of some sort of power cell and a planetary shield. Unfortunately Human technology is nowhere near the level of being able to use these designs, not yet at least, but given that a large shield now surrounds Jericho itself after finding such a schematic there? It seems quite the coincidence.

For now we suggest maintaining a blockade of Jericho, Order field agents are present to help investigate the situation, please coordinate with them on site as needed.
Rest assured they will be understanding if you need to 'maintain appearances' in front of any LSF agents,

Meanwhile our best scientists will continue studying the schematics and hopefully find a way to create an opening in the shielding that we can exploit. Should you have any reputable experts in the field of Xeno-Engineering in the Crayter Republic, it would perhaps be beneficial to get them involved as well.

For Humanity,
Admiral Solandros.

// OORP disclaimer: The Jericho expedition was a community event years ago so take it with a grain of salt, still funny that outcome seems to fit this canon development.

Good to hear from you admiral. For the time being Jericho is seen as safe as it's activity has been inert since its activation and will likely maintain the shielding around the moon until some outside provocation causes it to react. As long as we don't mess with it, we're safe. Drydocks aboard Sabah shipyard has only just slowed down after a few months of repair work from every vessel in the system that was caught in Jericho's blast. Another blast would likely cause even more harm across Coronado and possibly cause stations to lose their gravitational orbits around planets. Causing them to plumet, and causing gods know how many casualties.

Harnessing this shielding technology of Jericho's surface would propel Crayter to the forefront of technological advancement, though. Where the great houses of Sirius would be forced to look upon us differently, with respect. I'd like to turn the subject to outside influences that may see that change in the near future, coming from the Inverness system.

During the LSFs "crash and burn" operation within that hellhole we were able to make some discoveries so their floundering isn't a total loss to us. We discovered the existence of a nomad hive deep within the nebula of Inverness. The method wasn't able to provide an exact location and our calculations can't compensate for the strange abilities of this "vagrant" nomad tribe. These nomads are somehow able to make short term hyperspace travel and frakking jump our scouting expeditions. Though we doubt they can jump system to system. If they can do this on a large scale, the Crayter Republic lacks the capability to search and destroy the source of these nomads in the independent worlds. On top of any provocation from the Technocracy of Auxeia. That you know very well they'll happily throw any wrench into a solution, even if it's for their betterment.

The battlecruiser Momus has been monitoring activity from our side of the system keeping them from seeping into Crayter space. I fought in the purge of Drake and I've seen first hand what those nomads can and will do if left uncontested. I would see the whole of Inverness burn than to let the nomads fester further.

For those we left behind.

Hail Fleet Admiral Garan.

I am impressed by the how informed the Crayter Republic is, you show a greater understanding of the immediate threat surrounding your territory than many of the Houses. We can confirm the short term hyperspace travel you have observed, the battleship Atum followed its limping infected prey through one such artificially made breach, I am afraid this does mean howeveer that they are able to do so between systems, however so far this seems limited to the larger warforms.

As irony would have it the Atum ended up in the Vespucci system, not that far away from Coronado. It's engagement against the infected vessel was not without damage, of course we understand your capacity is stretched as is after the pulse but any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps if you are able to host it for repairs we would be able to assist in dealing with this local infestation as we have previously done in the past in the Drake system?

For Humanity,
Admiral Solandros.

You have confirmed our worst fear that our homefront is just as threatened as the frontlines. None the less the Malachite will stand guard against any alien threats to the pearl of our republic.

Though you say the Atum is close by it still lies on the opposite side of the barrier nebula and multiple jumps away from any safety we may be able to provide. Not to mention the publicity the Republic would be forced to expose with such a high value asset of the Order within our harbors. I simply won't be able to hide this once you get here. The houses of sirius, especially Liberty, will take notice. Not just based on materials. The cost for this will have to be high in order to justify such a thing to the quorum.

With this risk of the nomads being able to strike at Yuma we will have to reserve majority of our capital assets as an contingency, but we will send two vessels to meet with the Atum to ensure its passage through the barrier. Along with any security forces we can spare.

For those we left behind.
