Retrofit Explorer causes disconnection

I recently bought a new ship, the Retrofit Explorer, but any time I try to do anything, I get disconnected within a minute or 2 of loading in. My other characters work fine. If I manage to dock at a base, I'm ok until I launch to space again, but then it almost immediately get disconnected again.

Thanks in advance for any help that can get this character playable again.

Whats the character name? Admins will need it to look up if amything is wrong

the Characters name is SCV_Intrepid.

I took a look, it looks like your install might be bad - I recommend you try a fresh reinstall of discovery

Anytime I log on the server, first 2 tries, I get booted out. Always.
Disco is Fresh Install.
Does not regard any ships - it occurs on all.
3rd time I log in, game is stable.
This did not occur prior to fresh install and did not occur on the last patch.

I don't think that's the same issue. My problem is with only one ship model, and it happens EVERY time, 1,2, or 100, it still does it.

I'll try reinstalling Discovery.

Not sure if this is your issue's cause but mind that windows might read part of the installer as stuff to remove or put in quarantine (I had to tell it to stop doing that when I was installing mine last week). Meaning you could end up missing some files if you're unlucky.

One of these days, there will be a clever, stylish and/or funny signature here.
This is still not that day, however.

Same issue here. Just did a fresh install and encountered the disconnect again. Disconnect with the following message in the chat console:

ERR Invalid engine(s) detected. You will be kicked...

Disconnect has happened now for a few days. How can I fix this and / or where should I put help request topics if anything comes up again?

Edit: Fixed after server removed incompatible engine from the ship (I assume equipment restrictions changed after some update since last logged in). Only happened on my character with Retrofit Transport (CM-III). Other character logins appear to work without issue.
