Trenton Outpost is home to Universal Shipping Incorporated, one of the Big Three family of Liberty companies that also includes Ageira Technologies and Deep Space Engineering. Universal Shipping Incorporated made its fortune by gambling on shipping silver from California to Colorado for use in terraforming Los Angeles, long before Jump Gates and Trade Lanes reduced the risk of transporting goods over such long distances. Universal then cemented its reputation as the premiere Liberty shipping company in 181 A.S. by signing a contract to handle all shipping between Ageira Technologies facilities and Deep Space Engineering construction sites.
With the invention and production of modular bases, Universal Shipping's aim shifted from shipping exclusively Ageira and Deep Space Engineering freight to construction sites. Now, Universal Shipping gladly accepts contracts to supply not only modular hardware, but also essential commodities for crew sustainment.
Recent History
Mysteriously, Logistics Chief Bill Wagner, Amy Reybern, and many other executives and pilots abruptly left Universal Shipping Incorporated *{USI}* to form their own shipping company, Constellation Express. After construction of their headquarters in the Magellan System, ConEx's goal was to be the premiere supplier of modular bases in all of Sirius. Under the direction of Mr. Wagner and Ms. Reybern, ConEx quickly gained esteem and confidence among the Sirius logistic elite. Eventually, Mr. Wagner’s business boom prompted his creation of Constellation Corporation, the parent company of Constellation Express. Constellation Express handled all extra-planetary shipments. Constellation Freight handled all inter-planetary shipments. Constellation Mining initially boomed with the Pristine Ice deposits in the Cortez system. However, once those fields dried up, Constellation Mining was bought by a private party.
Eventually, as was anticipated, Sirius lost trust and confidence in Universal Shipping – the once mighty powerhouse of logistics through all of Sirius. Now a shell of it’s former self, Universal Shipping is struggling to generate a profit or to keep shareholders satisfied. In a radical move, Universal Shipping’s board voted “no confidence” for the leadership of Universal Shipping. When interviewed by Colony News, some board members mentioned that the president “...(he) would just sit there at his desk and do nothing. Literally, he would watch the clock and count hours. He’d make others do his work…”
In an unprecedented move, the board contact Bill Wagner to fill the leadership vacancy at Universal Shipping. Mr. Wagner initially declined stating that he will only fill the roll if Amy Reybern is to be vice president. Eventually, a deal was struck between the board and Bill Wagner. After years of profit generating with the Constellation Corporation, Mr. Wagner has now been appointed as President of Universal Shipping with all Constellation Corporation assets absorbed by Universal Shipping. Amy Reybern has been appointed as the vice president. This direction has caused Universal Shipping’s official name to change to Universal Shipping Corporation.
Now, with the combined assets of Constellation Corporation and Universal Shipping, Bill Wagner and his staff are determined to make Universal Shipping Corporation a trusted and reliable source of logistics and supply in all of Sirius once again.

Work As a Universal Shipping Transport Pilot
As a pilot under Universal Shipping, you will be entitled to a working vessel with which to conduct your trade missions with, a means to make money, and appropriate compensation to ensure contract work is profitable to the trader. The leadership of Universal Shipping understands what it is like to work and not receive appropriate compensation. Our transport pilots will not be subjected to the same neglect.

We have been on again and off again over the last few years with our faction ambitions. We have always been stopped because of IRL issues that has plagued several members at once. We have now reached a point that we are dedicated to re-launch a re-branded Universal Shipping faction with hopes to become official.
Our primary goal, above all else, is to repair, reinforce, and expand the role play dynamic between logistics factions and pirates. Within Discovery Freelancer, the relationship between pirates and traders is symbiotic – one relies on the other. While we frown on meta-gaming, we have always and will continue to look forward to good interactions between us and pirates, bounty hunters, and mercenaries.
Our other goals are:
To focus on the role playing side of Discovery. We will focus on making decisions based on the lore and story around us instead of the reverse.
Actively look for new players within the community. We want to bring them into our faction to help them make money initially while also presenting them with a good example of how to role play in this community.
Events – we want to not only involve ourselves with appropriate events, but also drive events. We understand that not all events should be pro-Universal Shipping. Pay attention pirates, there may be some intel that drops of some lucrative shipments...
Provide callings and contracts for escort pilots. This actually means escorts – no flying ahead to check if the scene is safe. Our convoys will fly as one until stopped by an obstacle. If you are that obstacle and you role play appropriately, you will be awarded.
Promote other factions. We will do this through role play and interactions. We will rely on your interacting with us. We will return the favor.
