Greetings, R3curse.
I'm asking you to find and discipline a certain insolent freelancer. Apparently, the young captain of the ship Werox, decided that since he had such a large vessel, he could shoot at lone junker-traveler. And the insolence is that he did it without any radio-communication. Without any words.
Like this is how it's should be. Like I'm "some trash under boots". Big mistake.
A few days ago, I crossed paths with Werox at the entrance/exit of the Norfolk Shipyard - West Point Military Academy trade route (New York).
Right in front of the Norfolk Shipyard this ship silently opened fire on my ship and completely destroyed it!
I didn't have time to react. All that damn Liberty Ale... I hadn't had much to drink that gloomy evening: just a little taste to relax a bit.
One good thing is that I'm now on a smaller ship and no longer have a crew that could be harmed.
It was a stroke of luck that another ship "Admiral_Daala" was nearby. The captain picked up my escape pod and delivered it to Manhattan.
I'm very grateful to her.
I'm fine. But can't say same for my ship.
I am reaching you out, R3curse, for several reasons: :-: Your, - shall we say, - skills and knowledge will certainly help you track down and teach this insolent Freelancer a lesson. He may be insane. But more likely, that target - is some young boy or girl, that was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, and a ship was a "h-birthday present" from big-n-rich daddy.
I'm almost sure that target has no idea what the world of Sirius is like from the other side... The side where ships are made from scraps of metal, assembled by dozens of men and women who must eat some synthetic paste and wash it down with Ale. The "golden freelancers" like this one must learn to show respect to the other side of Sirius. In all manners.
And I'm pleased to know that you're the one who will show target what Retribution is! :-: I've never trusted the authorities. And after this "incident," I'm even more confused. I'm not stupid to walk with this story to the Liberty police. After all, judging by how the captain of the Werox acted (and where he/she acted!), it's quite possible he/she has very close ties to the Liberty Police. Or even with the Liberty Navy.
I have no desire to expose myself anyway. Besides, I'm not some law-abiding citizen. Ofcource, I respect the law. But I respect the invisible laws even more.
And I don't want him to get away with what he just did. In that sense, I'm sure I can rely on you, R3curse.
I believe Werox and his crew based somewhere in Pennsylvania.
I've asked some good responsive people here and there, and it seems that Werox most often transports goods along the following route: Pennsylvania - New York - Colorado - Gallileo - Copernicus - Sigma-13 (after that, the trail gets lost, but it's unlikely that target goes further than Sigma-15). It's possible it could also pass through Kusari space. Perhaps the target has some trade contacts there. But I don't know for sure.
Afterwards, it returns by same trading roads. Most likely with some other goods that can be sold at a higher price in New York or Pennsylvania.
You know what needs to be done and how. There's no set deadline here. Plan with inspiration. Work with a team, if you wish for. Make the target nervous. Or even let target "lend" your teammates a few dozen credits so that after a couple of trade route flights target could experience... let's say, "educational process", that this freelancer sorely lacked at childhood.
Let me remind you to remember to record the elimination of the target.
Don't bother with the Liberty Police, they're more concerned about their next procurement of Sunbucks and donuts than doing their job to keep the lanes safe. You've made a smart choice contacting the Guild.
I’ve reviewed the incident report regarding the Werox and the engagement near Norfolk Shipyard. Silent aggression, no challenge, no warning — pure arrogance. That sort of behavior usually comes from pilots who believe size, money, or connections make them untouchable.
They’re wrong.
Target Confirmation:
Vessel: Werox
Class: Mastodon Liberty Transport
IFF: Freelancer
Crew Status: Expendable
Outcome Requested: Total loss — hull and personnel
Assessment:
A Mastodon running familiar trade routes means predictability and complacency. If they’re flashing wealth and flying quiet, they’ll be easy to provoke, easier to isolate. I will track the Werox, confirm pattern and crew behavior, then proceed with termination at a time and location of my choosing. The captain will be administered a harsh lesson that actions have consequences.
Terms:
Fee: 1,000,000 credits, payable upon confirmation
Proof: Black box / gun cam
Timeline: Open-ended, but inevitable
You will receive a communication when the job is done.
R3curse out.
