To all server owners whose servers had been attacked...

Right now, in addition to ours, two more servers had collapsed because of the resent attack. One of them is Discovery USA.

I'd appreciate if all servers that had been attacked so far would collect all the info on the attacks, and send abuse reports to the providers who control the IPs. The more info you have the better.

Just a few guidlines how to compose an abuse report..

You definitely need some tool to show all active sessions and take a screen or log all traffic and include them (screens or logs) in the report.

The report should contain screens or logs of:
- precise time of the attack
- src and dst addresses
- src and dst ports used (they are usually random)
- types of packets (usually UDP)

For getting an e-mail address where to send the report you can use:
http://ws.arin.net/whois/ or http://www.db.ripe.net/whois

Haven't run into any trouble so far - and am hoping it stays that way, but best have some stuff on hand anyway. Already have IPNetInfo. . .

The data center that hosts DUSA is launching its own investigation as the entire center was brought down and several large corporations have sites hosted there. Needless to say they are quite upset and aren't taking this lightly. We have provided the data center with all out logs and look foreword to the imminent apprehension of the culprit.

As always if there is anything the USA Admins can do to assist in this matter just let any of us know.
