Hello!

My name is James Salworth, owner and administrator for Tijuana Freeport. It has been some time since I've had the pleasure of contacting your group, and I do hope your holiday and new year celebrations were as wonderful as our own aboard the Freeport.

Unfortunately, though the days of recent were calm and quiet, those that preceded them were far from it, as I'm sure you've no doubt been aware of. Between large-scale fighting near the planet and skirmishes with some of the system's newer inhabitants, both members of the Society as well as our patrons have raised some concern to the Administration. This in addition to alien sightings in the area by some of our security personnel have brought about assumptions, which brings me to the inquiry I've been asked to relay to your people.

I have no doubt your own patrols have encountered the more enigmatic ships that have been spotted throughout Vespucci; Those that flash unknown IFF markers, flying both Libertonian lawful and pirate vessels alike, and firing on nearly everything they can. While some of my own security personnel have their own ideas of what these ships' purposes could be, your men and women are in the field far more often than our own, and likely have far better understandings of these skirmishers as well. Whatever insight your may be able to provide would be invaluable, and if there is perhaps an avenue for the Society to offer assistance against them, either with supplies or direct aid, I'm certain Chief Doyle would be more than open to collaboration.

I hope to hear from you soon. Have a wonderful day.

Administrator.

I appreciate you reaching out to us on the matter. Goddess knows it's a rarity these days. Sadly, I'm afraid I can't tell you much you don't already know. They're aggressive, they attack everyone indiscriminately. They seem focused on disabling and hijacking ships for their own use. Whether they're tied to other anomalous sightings in the system is yet to be determined.

The hotspots of their activity appear to be the graveyards and the Guerrero, so I'd strongly recommend your people give them a wide berth. Make sure you thoroughly scan and inspect new arrivals, or ships returning from prolonged absence. Put the crews through medical as well. Odds are high they were hijacked and there is no telling what they might be carrying onboard. We've already learned that lesson ourselves and I'd rather we didn't have to SAR the Freeport. Not like we'd have the means to, anyway.

The best you can do to assist us is keeping your own people safe. The fewer ships they get their hands on, the fewer ships they'll have to throw back at us. Do not send your ships out without escort, do not interact with unknown vessels, make sure to screen arrivals at the Freeport. As for supplies, if there's a need, I'll be sure to reach out.

Also, in light of the hijackings - any of our ships opening fire on you or your employees is no longer operating under our purview. Deal with them as needed.

We'll update you once we know anything concrete.

Regards,
Flora
