The name is Austin Dufrane, I am the captain of this fine old warhorse.
I must admit, I was surprised at the encounter. It is rare someone in space actually enters dialogue with a merchant vessel. Usually I simply blend into the background of general chaos that is the Sirius sector currently. Tends to work well in my favour, actually.
Though with that said, the potential of a contract is not an opportunity I am going to ignore. Consider me interested.
As you may have noticed we're relatively new to this region and we lack information on viable transport routes. We're interested in flying undetected to avoid unwanted attention and extra expenditure for escorts. Your set of skills and experience will prove useful to us, we can buy any useful information on safe waypoints and routes that you use as well as hire you as leader to coach our convoys and prepare them for the dangers of the Omegas. Apart from the natural dangers that lurk in the Omegas, our relations in the sector are friendly with the Hessians and Zoners, Corsairs are not to be meddled with. Think you're up for the task?

My line of work tends to take me all across the Sirius sector. Though recently my shipments have largely consisted of high value metals and munitions for clients far and beyond. Seems that the general expenditure of fuel costs for someone like me are but a trifle when weighed up against the needs of ammunition to throw at ones foe.
The real question for you would be what materials you wish to move and how far they need to go. My assumption based on your correspondence thus far would suggest the general Omega sectors. Though this is quite a broad spectrum. If credits are necessity then a combination of high value commodities and ammunition in these regions tends to float that aim well.
Naturally every cargo type will likely draw attention of a passing chancer willing to try their luck at a transport. Your associate I encountered a day ago would have noticed Yellowstone is not a sparsely fitted rig and she tends to persuade the local opportunists to seek easier prey without firing a shot.
But I digress, if you have some specific materials in mind or parties you would prefer to work with along with the relative range of your assets. We can likely come to some kind of arrangement. I am wagering Hessians and Zoners as a starting point. The routes I would plot once we know exactly what it is you require.
I would be up for joining these convoys and providing any advice I can where it is required. Though if there is a particular resource you require and your associates are unable to obtain these for, shall we say, diplomatic reasons. I could also be that un-named third party that acquires it for you, should that be required.
Our primary interest is gathering supplies or credits and that's where you come in, that is, if you're familiar with the black market.
We need your expertise in navigating this region or further and your knowledge of the market conditions in order to create sustainable routes and maybe make some profit along the way. As long as it doesn't involve Outcasts, Corsairs or any House, it's good.
After the design phase, you will accompany a heavily armed transport to a destination of your choosing so you can rub-off some experience on our pilots. You will be paid 3 millions besides the profit, for a round trip. I hope that sum will suffice for your time.

In that case I have a particular route in mind. This should take us to locations of trade which, shall we say, prefer under the table dealings. I just hope you won't need any receipts. The black market is my primary means of dealing, as it distinctly lacks paperwork.
My initial plan will start us off in Coronado, take us through to Omicron Delta. The route itself will be somewhat sketchy although with the basic element of caution in mind this should prove to be fine. From there we'll run down to Dublin, swap cargo there with the Mollys and then head back to Coronado.
It is quite the jaunt, mind you. While I am confident ol' Yellowstone is up to the task, I would ensure whatever craft you are using has the necessary range required to complete it. Though if we need to persuade any local interference using our collective firepower then so be it, wouldn't be the first time.
The three million will suffice for the job. It'll be up to you to decide the date we kick this thing off, so let me know and I'll be sure to have a delivery bound for Coronado so that I am actually there to RV with you. I may even have an accomplice come along for additional firepower, we'll see.
That is a considerable distance to cover — nonetheless, it will be done. I will dispatch our heaviest transports under escort to rendezvous in Coronado. The movement will require a few days to complete. I trust this adjustment in timing does not alter the understanding between us.
