In light of the apparent leak pertaining to the existence of third-party Jump Drive technology, and with the recent successes enjoyed by the Harris Alliance in the Tau region, it is the intention of the Armed Forces of Bretonia to transmit that our policy in the region is to shift to one prioritising defensive works and deep space operations over one that seeks a decisive battle to curb any Gallic threats.
Firstly, the minefield surrounding Planet Harris is to be significantly reinforced with mines and other defensive works. We have good reason to believe that any siege of this planet will be a prolonged one, necessitating the repositioning of a major number of assets to the region, thus weakening other sectors. The BAF will also begin work planet-side on a number of fortified supply positions, reinforced with sprawling networks of bunkers. As Leeds held, so shall Harris.
Secondly, preparations are well underway for a similar approach within the Tau-23 system, with regards to the garrison on Scalpay Outpost. The 9th Counter Fleet, under HMS Ark Royal, has begun preparing large stocks of explosives and mines; the BAF will deploy a minefield around the Tau-23 gate, and will rig the Jump Gate with explosives such that it may be scuttled to delay an invasion of Tau-31.
Lastly, Bretonia will deploy a new force at the Holman Junction to coordinate all defensive efforts between the Harris Alliance signatories, under the command of the HMS Collingwood. This forward posting will also ensure the safety of trade convoys heading to and from Kusari space. Further, crews stationed aboard several of our warships have begun training to facilitate deep space operations, with the final goal of adapting the BAF to the conditions best suited to countering the mass formations of capital vessels utilised by Gallic forces.
This concludes my short transmission. I eagerly await any recommendations from the Kusari side. It is also my request that representatives of the esteemed Kusari Government, and of Kishiro Technologies, entrusted with the management of Jump Drive technology, contact me as soon as able to speak earnestly upon the future of this technology and its usage by the Kingdom, and by other parties.

Before we address the matters surrounding a potential Gallic threat and the Kingdom's strategic relocations in accordance with the Harris Alliance, we wish to clarify a small confusion in regards to the "leak".
Whilst it is true that partial schematics of the Kishiro Jump Drive were leaked due to interference by the Republic of Liberty, these schematics are incomplete enough that a construction of third-party devices is near impossible for years to come. Lacking crucial data, everyone attempting to utilize these schematics will more likely cause a disaster the size of the Dallas Incident than open a stable rift. You have little to worry in this regard unless someone will attempt this in your backyard.
Now back on topic. The Naval Forces are thankful for this information and will continue to do their utmost to fulfill our own commitments to the Harris Alliance. However, truth be spoken we cannot send considerable forces at this time. The contingent that was sent to assist the disposal of Bougainville Outpost remains on standby within Tau-29 and will heed any call sent by your forces to assist against Gallic activity. Should the Kingdom desire aid in the production of mines, we will gladly reach out to the Keiretsu for you.
In regards to the decision to rig the Gallic Gate with explosives as a worst case scenario contingency, the Naval Forces see no ground to oppose such a decision. Should the need arise, it is indeed the most cost efficient way to stop a Gallic force trying to penetrate Tau-31. From our understanding of the situation, the Gate is in a hopeless state of slow decay anyway and will require a replacement sooner than later. With our reliance on Ageira Technologies reduced, a replacement to the Gallic Gate could easily be a Jump Bridge operated jointly by the Harris Alliance. Though, these are topics for when other crises are resolved.

I am pleased to hear that there are no objections from the Kusari side regarding our plans for the Taus. Preparations are well underway as we speak, however we have yet to hear from the Crayter Military. I wish to thank you also for providing your assistance should the Gallic Navy attempt any moves against the Harris Alliance.
Moving onto the subject of jump Drives, it is indeed regrettable that such a leak happened. We are now in uncharted waters, and where civilians have to worry only about the upheaval they shall cause on the markets of Sirius, us great people with a military duty to uphold face a greater threat: that of ships appearing out of nowhere and disappearing just as fast. What we have here, Goryo, is a revolutionary development in FTL travel. I intend for my forces to represent the tip of the spear in the BAF, and for them to be well aware of both the capabilities and dangers involved with the use of Jump Drive technology.
Thus, it is only natural that I ask that Bretonia be allowed to observe any future tests of this technological marvel, or should it come to be, seeing it used openly against hostile forces, much as we have done in Dublin. I understand that this comes with great responsibility and at no cheap cost, however I am willing to play the part and see to it that the Bretonian Government approves of any such future joint operations and that our militaries remain in close contact to clamp down on third party Jump Drive technology that may prove to be wholly unstable.
Come what may, I wish to see through a repeat of Dublin's Jump Drive-related successes on the Gallic front within the following decade, so that we might, at long last, bring about justice for Leeds. I look forward to your response on this matter.

The consequences of the leak cannot be denied but must also not be overstated. At this point, no entity in Sirius or Gallia will possess the means to piece together the missing information with ease. This means ample of time to prepare for the devastating threat represented by the devices military usage outside of controlled environments such as the Dublin campaign. We are talking a few years up to a decade here.
I believe it is in the interest of the Empire to coordinate our next steps tightly with the Kingdom of Bretonia. I will do my best to convince the relevant people to permit a Bretonian observer role, tied to conditions such as Bretonia positioning itself as a neutral party in regards to recent accusations made by the Republic of Liberty. As clamping down on third party devices will not be necessary for years to come, I would like to attempt to organize something of far greater interest to you, Admiral.
Following the leak, a project aimed at creating countermeasures to a Kishiro Drive's activation has been kickstarted, as whilst years may pass, someone somewhere will eventually construct a somewhat functional replica and we wish to be prepared for this scenario long before it occurs. Seeing as we share the same sentiment on Gallia, a sentiment vast portions of our respective populations share, I am fully convinced that it is urgently required to forge an even stronger partnership capable of deterring Gallic influence for decades to come. To ensure both our nations to hold the same strategic advantage when the day of a new military conflict with Gallia dawns, I will attempt to convince relevant actors to permit Bretonian cooperation in this project and permit ownership of relevant countermeasure devices for the Kingdom once the project yields results.
