Media outlets across Sirius have gone ablaze following the alleged leak of Jump Drive technology originating from Kusari. We wish to address the citizens of Sirius and confirm that this technology does indeed exist. However, the propagandistic "leak" issued by the Lane Hackers conveniently brushes aside a series of key facts. This Jump Drive technology, developed by Kishiro Technologies, is the result of five decades of dedicated commitment and research. It remains in an early experimental phase, which is now suffering massive setbacks thanks to the loss of our first testbed vessel, the IKN-Niyodo. While rumors spread about the technology's implied military usage, the Empire of Kusari wishes to reassure everyone that Kishiro Technologies' endeavor is strictly commercial in nature. All statements suggesting otherwise can easily be identified as conspiracies circulated by Ageira Technologies, who clearly sense a threat to their monopoly on hyperspace travel via the Jump Gate.
The Kishiro Jump Drive represents a potential, cheaper, and more flexible alternative to the Jump Gate, utilizing a pair of devices to create a stable hyperspace tunnel between two points in Einsteinian space. As mentioned, it has not yet left the experimental phase, meaning the incomplete schematics being propagated contain only information regarding the experimental drive of the IKN-Niyodo, which, for transparency's sake, was ripped apart as a consequence of its own drive activation. In light of this, we must urge all entities to refrain from utilizing the leaked schematics to prevent immense human casualties from occurring.
Additionally, the Empire wishes to inform the citizens of Sirius that the sole reason these incomplete, potentially highly dangerous schematics were leaked and are now accessible to terrorist groups is due to the arrogance of the Republic of Liberty. On January 19th, 835 A.S., the Naval Forces and KOI conducted a search and rescue operation to retrieve the lost IKN-Niyodo from deep space, with a lifter vessel towing the wreckage. A joint venture by the LSF and Liberty Navy intercepted this peaceful mission shortly after the team arrived in Kepler via a destabilized Jump Hole, they must've tripped some hot wires given the immediate response. Sensing an opportunity to steal what is rightfully Kusari's, Liberty's forces engaged our vessels without hesitation in an illicit act of war. Amidst the clash, which dragged on all the way into the Galileo system, the Lane Hackers seized the moment and successfully snatched the wreckage away. A real humiliation, to say the least, but an entirely avoidable situation had it not been for Liberty's despicable methods to secure Ageira's monopoly.
The Republic's transgressions have put the entire sector at risk, as while we are confident the schematics are unusable to construct a functional Jump Drive, the consequences of entities attempting it nonetheless could range from accidents wiping out space stations to deliberate attacks using a knowingly volatile, experimental, and incomplete design as a makeshift high-yield explosive device.
The Empire of Kusari has not abandoned its research and will firmly stand by its natural rights to pursue technological advancements. We urge the Republic of Liberty to stop hiding behind those Platinum-related court orders as a cheap excuse to camouflage their real desire: forcing an abandonment of the Jump Drive project through military intervention and invasion of our territory. The Empire stands ready to discuss terms on the Platinum exploitation rights but will not give up the Kishiro Drive Project under any circumstances. Should the Republic of Liberty pursue violent escalation, the Empire will reserve its rights to take any measures necessary.
