Subject .......... Tau-31 Encounter
Dear Members of the Board,
This communication and the suggestions contained within has involved a lot of deliberation and stems from a Tau-31 incident over a month ago that we are sure you are familiar with.
Initially we thought it best to ignore the altercation and weapons discharge as just one of those things, accepting a military outlook may not fully mesh with a typical Med Force Enterprises outlook and vice versa. This approach however did not sit comfortably with our personal professionalism and medical integrity leading to the suggestions offered below.
Modern military operations increasingly require not only strategic and tactical expertise, but also a deep understanding of human behaviour and the psychological well-being and morale of personnel. These final areas are where Med Force Enterprises could enhance the mental health and resilience of your personnel.
Bretonia has in recent times been asked to cope with a lot and it is possible that your personnel are being tested to their limit and beyond. With this in mind, we can offer specific help from some of the most prominent researchers and practitioners in Sirius. This help could range from specific individual intervention and guidance through to a structured training programme that supplements you current practices. This would provide your commanders and senior officers with additional innovative and ground-breaking practical psychological tools to strengthen leadership effectiveness, operational readiness, and the mental resilience of your units.
All from the leading investigators in the field who are constantly pushing frontiers to understanding and implementing the knowledge advances.
A training programme would of course be tailored to your needs but could focus on several key areas, including:
• Psychological resilience and stress management in high-pressure operational arenas
• Decision-making under uncertainty and cognitive bias awareness
• Understanding morale, motivation, and group dynamics within military units
• Early recognition and management of combat stress and psychological strain
• Leadership psychology and effective communication within command structures
This could be delivered through a combination of seminars, workshops, and scenario-based exercises tailored to the operational realities faced by military leadership. All training would be conducted with full respect for military protocols, confidentiality, and the strategic priorities of your command.
MFE's objectives would be to support the continued strength and effectiveness of your personnel and by equipping leaders with advanced psychological insight and practical tools they can use to enhance both performance, mental health and welfare.
We would welcome the opportunity to discuss this proposal further and explore how we can best equip your personnel to approach situations and possibly avoid stress induced trigger happy scenarios sparking diplomatic incidents.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Respectfully,
Dr John Holliday, Jill Xi PharmD, Dr Isabella Saito

To the honored MFE,
I am most surprised to see this transmission coming in such an hour of need. One would almost think that an insider source has let MFE know more than meets the eye. I, however, concur; we could nary do without special training to uphold morale and ensure the safety, both mental and physical, of our brave troops.
To that end, I extend an invitation to the esteemed Dr. John Holiday to hold a seminar with regard to the aforementioned topics, and others related to the mental well-being of the Armed Forces' personnel, at a date and time of your own choosing. The location will be in orbit of Planet Leeds, and it shall be attended by myself, my staff, other Admiralty Board members that may wish so, and, naturally, by a significant number of personnel enlisted in the military, police, or intelligence services of the Kingdom of Bretonia. We shall take great care to arrange for your safe passage to the Leeds system and for the meeting to meet the highest of security standards.
Please, however, be aware that your reputation is at stake, considering the nature of the incident within Tau-31 some weeks prior, and the fact that so many respected individuals of Bretonian society will be in attendance.

No, Admiral, no insider source. It is not exactly secret info that Bretonia has not had it easy since the Leeds incident. I stop and pay my respects outside the planet each time I pass. Previous conflicts with Kusari and Gallia did not help. Remember, I did treat a lot of Bretonian refugees on Port Jackson long ago and I heard the stories. So the offer of services is a genuine one.
I apologize for the incident in Tau 31. The young lady in charge of the ship in question is young and is not well versed in diplomacy. I should know, she is my fiancee. She is very bright and is head of my mental health division so she is someone who you would be working with. Inexperienced in diplomacy? Yes. Her and I have had some discussions on that.
Admiral, it is no secret that my past dealings with Bretonia have not exactly been stellar. If you are willing, I would like to put aside the past and work for a better future. Perhaps us working with Bretonia on this will be a good start to that future.
I will be in attendance as will Isabella Saito. I will have to see who else will be there. I will have to check the schedules of others.
Now I guess the question is what ships we should arrive in. Per Bretonian law, no cap ships. I have one Corvo that I could bring or I could just come in my diplomatic yacht. I am sure we can hash out those details.
I do ask that before we start that we have a moment of silence outside the planet to honor those lost on Leeds. It has become somewhat of a tradition of mine. I look forward to meeting with you and starting forward on a brighter future.
Respectfully,
Dr. John Henry Holliday
