You reached me. And had me add a few extra layers of security on this line. My... security expert considers most encryptions in use by Sirian intelligence agencies to be lackluster at best. I can assume the reasons as to why the previous line went silent are most similar to the reasons why just so much as flinching might cost you your head at home by now.
To keep it very brief, the situation here is tense. Not as tense as in Liberty, I suspect. Reliable sources informed me about the Liberty Navy adopting a defensive position and fortifying Colorado following the Lane Hacker issued leaks. Panic mode, I suppose. This results in a volatile degree of unpredictability from Liberty and a degree of urgency here that cannot be understated. The elections, the leak and a few other issues turned a few things upside down here too. My hands are full trying to oversee and manage matters here, mitigating damage done and trying to act as voice of reason.
For your own sake, do not attempt another endeavor such as the last one. Whilst the data you delivered turned out to be incredibly helpful, I cannot guarantee for anything anymore. I'm sorry to hear Kusari isn't faring much better. The situation here is beginning to reach a fever pitch - the presses are going off the rails, the Net Stock Market's agitated, and so are the people. The tension is palpable in the air we breathe, and on some rare occasions while I'm off-duty, I've even noticed discourse between the locals from Kusari confronting and being confronted by my fellow Libertonians, as they both blame each other for the approaching catastrophe that is likely to drag both of our colonies into ruin. The people are scared. And frankly, so am I.
Just today, we've received some... sort of press reporter, one Jiro Hajima. He came unannounced from Kusari on behalf of Samura to inquire about the state of Liberty and kept asking about the all too famous "leak" on the Neural Net while we were keeping an eye out on the Colorado checkpoint. Just a publicity stunt of some sort, surely. But this has left me and another colleague of mine totally stumped, given the current circumstances. This was later followed by a Kusari freighter appearing at the Checkpoint, and he had nothing but slander and vitriolic hate for us while I was trying to simply run some standard inspection routines. It is a travesty to think about. Relations between our Houses might just be... beyond repair.
The situation is extremely dire, and we are one major incident away from what is likely going to turn into an all-out conflict, and should things truly escalate, the complete end of this entire side of the Sirius Sector as we know it. We need to do something about it, and fast. I'll put it all on the line if we can somehow prevent the clock from striking midnight.
I've considered pushing for the... simple suggestion of proposing peace talks, but it's likely that it might fall on deaf ears. Liberty does not approve of the ace in the hole that belong to Kusari, and Kusari doesn't like my House's ruthless and exploitative capitalistic MO.

The media will pick it up very soon, so there's no harm in telling you so long as you keep it to yourself until the news broadcasts. The Bretonians attempt to hold a summit of the Sirian Houses, a last ditch effort at preventing escalation through third party assistance. It took a lot to garner enough support for it within our own ranks but I've made it happen. Few perceive it as realistic that dialogue can convince the Republic not to escalate anymore. Kusari will await the summit's results prior to any further actions. Liberty has yet to decline or accept the offer.
Consider the future of our houses to hinge on this very summit and pray to whoever you believe in that something positive can be reached there at all.
