Or prop up a PoB and use that as it will be much more organized and allow for docking to load / offload any items. If you use a ship you will need a trusted source to hold trades or risk just dropping them in space and logging out / logging back in before anything happens to the free floating item(s). Downside to a PoB is that it requires maintenance. Minimal but it cannot be left for a long time, unless well stocked, unattended or everything goes boom!
If you join our discord server there is a channel for requesting equipment transfers in conn, which will usually get you a quick reply. If someone does mess with your stuff during a transfer, let the admins know, or file a violation report- that is a massive breach of community trust .
