The summit was only a short while ago, and while I'm aware that, thankfully, your stance on those traitors from Vespucci is already decided - I have something significant to share with you. Courtesy of my Adjutant for Foreign Affairs - Bancroft.

He recently made contact with the Utsunomiya Commonwealth, purely as a gesture of goodwill for a Canarian-based nation-state with a vested interest in the Erie crisis. Through this party, and their contacts, whom were formerly members of the Promethean cause, we finally have actionable evidence.

The sort of nail every hammer dreams of. Maybe I will take up Flora's idea and host a summit just to put this, among other exhibits, on full blast to ensure the Militants and other groups adjacent to our yard are insulated against this specific breed of corruption.

General Memo 5-13-35

This is a personal note of a General Memo issued by Promethean Command, by way of Megiddo, the commanding artificial intelligence. Yoruha, our source, has lost access to the original copy of this memo, hence this report is on the basis of recollection alone and retains overall accuracy.

The memo describes a contact event occurring at approximately 0330 Guadalajara Standard Time. A single craft approached Valravn airspace carrying valid Legion authentication codes, Legion livery, and drive signatures consistent with long-range patrol records. The craft was heavily overgrown with crystalline matter associated with non-human biological intelligence. The pilot identified as a former Legionnaire, recovered by a splinter NHBI faction operating independently from the larger hostile collective. He reported that his memories had been substantially restored, that he retained personal autonomy, and that other former Legionnaires in similar circumstances had accepted arrangements with this splinter group, trading operational service as communicators and field assets for the freedom to continue fighting.

Lord Stratarch Megiddo noted that the Garrison's command structure had been monitoring this splinter faction prior to the contact event, and that prior findings were consistent with the pilot's claims regarding their independence and conduct toward humans.

Attached to the memo was a declassified communications transcript of the exchange between Megiddo and the pilot, with limited redactions for operational security. The conversation covered the pilot's fragmented personal history, the terms under which he and others accepted recovery, and the nature of what the splinter group sought from the Legion: a working relationship, and a point of connection to humanity. Megiddo indicated willingness to pursue this pending internal deliberation with the broader command structure.

The splinter faction's leadership was assigned the internal codename WENDIGO.

The exchange was measured on both sides. Both parties acknowledged that good faith alone is insufficient as operational basis, and that further verification would be required. The memo was issued with a personal endorsement from Megiddo, affirming that the pilot, regardless of his current circumstances, retained his humanity by any meaningful definition.

Assessment: The NHBI situation in Liberty space is not monolithic. Active factionalism exists within it. At least one such faction is pursuing formal contact with human military organizations. This development is unlikely to remain isolated.

The promised "Florence" and "Hornet" wings are on their way to Liberty. Do notify your people that they will call themselves "Pest-control" to identify themselves upon questioning. Don't be surprised of hearing or seeing how Liberty's lackeys get shot with their own weaponry and by their own ship classes. Feel free to contact me if you will need these people to lend a hand while they are not launching a raid on Pennsylvania.

Getting back on the topic of Task Force mentioned before. I will arrive to Coronado myself. If you will be willing to invite me on that summit of yours afterwards - I would gladly accept the invitation.

I've noted the presence of your men in two high-intensity sorties today. They discharge themselves well. This is the first measured, and significant mobilization we've seen assist our forces in a long time. So the relief is not only felt but greatly appreciated.

I hear about successes made in Pennsylvania. Even if to skip the politeness, I am glad that you have made it out alive and victorious. Just as the hero of the people should.

However, heads rolled today and a far more important one was chopped off earlier. With the death of Ward, we will take more radical approach. "Bowman" was informed about it and the recommendations about Prometheans were given. I am still awaiting his response.

While he is on it, "Florence" and "Hornet" are at your disposal to bring the sword down on the remaining survivors. If you have any intel about them or a lead to slice another head of this foul hydra off, I am all ears.

Congratulations on the promotion. I'll raise a soda in your honor.

But I'm no hero and these people don't need saving either, just a little more firepower. Something we're happy to provide and have been doing ever since the pirate coalition overran Bering.

Bowman is wisely going to keep his own people out of the crossfire of this blood feud. After all, it's our score to settle ever since the earliest days of the Commonwealth's tyranny. He has no skin in the game, and we wouldn't want to share our pound of flesh anyway.

We've played our opening move and won't be able to catch the fools by surprise twice. Now it's time to dig in and hunt - to drive them out and away from positions of power and influence. That's the only way we can insulate Erie from either becoming another Commonwealth, or something worse altogether.

The Prometheans have completely and utterly violated the commonly recognized NFZ around Pinnacle Station. They decided to engage our men there and have pronounced themselves an authority over the station.
