Afternoon,

My name is Ritva Mcguire, a part of Cleveland Station’s administrative team here in Pennsylvania.

Your link was dropped to me by a Mr Vascoguoncellos, though he didn’t exactly specify what organization y’all are with, he just sort of pointed in a direction with a communications relay, a signal, and an encrypt code. Said you girls had smarts enough to make it, and honestly that’s good enough by my book. Ontario is a hell of a place to set up shop, though, but hey - that’s a spirit I’m looking to get.

I got a request from Camp Lakewood, down on Hallam? Yeah, they’re asking for a sensor suite, bit overboard than what the normal Ingram C2000 freighters we get for that sort of work. More specifically, they’re needing a ground-penetrating radar able to penetrate 70k, able to be mounted in a standard freighter hold. They’re also wanting a dozen C5V-33 drones equipped for atmospheric use, with magnetic survey gear and whatever else you might be able to slap on them for the survey operation.

They’ve been trying to trudge around on foot or with the standard sensor suites on the C2000s, and that’s not really working out too well. So, they asked around, that question got to me, and I got to ask Mr Vascoguoncellos for your number. Circle of life is really twisted sometimes, I think.

If you need more details, I’ll relay em down to the crew at Camp Lakewood so nothing gets fucked up like that. As far as payment, we have a good nest egg here, all told. Just no gold-plating things, I guess, we’re not Kishiro or BMM. This isn't the sort of thing you're probably used to, I know, but he said you girls did good work on Dudley.

Look forward to hearing back from you.

Yo yo Ritva! Name's Chloe, nice to meetcha! Glad Pants is circling our contacts 'round getting us some biz.

Now ground surveying scanners aren't exactly our specialty, but we do have a ton miniturizing sensor packages so I'm sure we can cook something up for ya. Plus, we could use the tech ourselves later down the line. The drones tho are easy peasy, we'll give ya some of our custom C5s, way better than that mass-market Ageira crap.

As for payment ... One favor to be paid back at a later date! How's that sound?

Goddamn that’s a lot of colors.

Yeah, ‘Pants’ is a good enough guy. I don’t know where the hell he’s from, considering that sort of accent, and he just shrugs and says he lived at Barrier Gate for a good enough time. But he’s a good enough guy, hence why I got to ask him for this sort of thing.

Ground surveying gear is the purview of people I’d sooner gnaw my leg away than deal with, and that’s the official position of Cleveland Station and Camp Lakewood. Deep Space and Daumann aren’t exactly in a sales-friendly mood, in any case, and the other people we’d maybe ask for this sort of stuff are busy using that sort of stuff for their own exploratory work. So, hey, you get this business and I don’t have to say forty Hail Marys or some shit. Win-win and all that.

I’ll be more than willing to listen to a favor, but look - my actual leeway with this job isn’t awesome, I’m not going to lie. I don’t want to screw that up, or screw up what we have going on here in Pennsylvania. If that’s alright with you, then yeah, I can do a favor later on. Just no fucking “Synth Paste Girl” getups; Those latex suits make you sweat like a fucking pig and I’m not here for it.

Look forward to hearing back from you.

Heya heya! It's ya girl again! Sorry it took us a hot minute, things have been uh, busy. For much the same reason Bristol has been busy I'm guessing, heh heh!

So we got your sensor package nice and miniaturized. Grabbed a C2000 off the market to do the final fitting, ran some tests on our little Orillia next door, everything's peachy from the looks of it. Got your drones packaged up and ready to go too. Just send a transport our way or we can arrange for a dead drop or somethin'.

Now for that favor! You're cute, but that wasn't the sorta thing we had in mind. I was gonna just sit on it for a while till an opportunity came, but whaddya know, one did in the middle of all this prep. So here's the deal we propose to ya, you pass that up the chain for us:

We know you're on the list of approved military contractors for Liberty. We want to seed some of our manufactured computing systems into your deliveries. Now, I'm not gonna insult your intelligence and try to play coy, these are bugs. If you accept we'll do our utmost to make them invisible, untraceable and give you plausible deniability. We can work the tampered parts into your production chain. We can substitute parts in your warehouses with just a bit of security tampering from the inside.

If not oh well! We can work something else out, for sure for sure. Unrelated but can y'all re-pressurize a habitation module on the downlow?

Afternoon,

That’s good to hear on the freighter and the drones. I hope you got that ship as legally as possible, since we’ll be flying it around here regularly - you know how Liberty Navy, LSF, LPI all kind of are.

As to the request, I’ll be honest - I need to have a few talks with some people who are more familiar with that thing. I’m not even on that station that they’re doing the manufacturing at, so I can’t even really talk to any of the folks involved there. Just uh…few hours, yeah?

By the way, hope you’re aware that those systems aren’t sticking around in Liberty - they’re going to Bretonia, apparently. Big movement contract there that’ll happen in a day or so. Whatever bugs you’re making had better be independent enough to not rely on any systems we have here, that’s all I’m saying. Just wanted to give the heads up.

I’m sure someone else will be reaching out on the yay/nay for that favor.

PS - Repressurize a hab module? Maybe, but you’d need to send over some specifics for the engineers to look over. That said, we’ve gotten pretty busy as far as building stuff, especially in Bering, so that might need to be on the burner for a few months.

Hey that freighter is squeaky clean! It's open market civilian tech, not like you need a special permit for it. Not unless you wanna flex. But no, we ordered it clean from 14, you're good.

And don't worry fam, I know where the hardware's going, I never planned on making it hook to *our* network. Just lending some friends a hand, hopefully. Plus, it getting shipped off only helps mitigate the risk for ya, right?

Figures y'all would be as busy as us if not more tho. It's a small job, honest! I'll be throwing the structural scans you guys' way so you can see it for yourselves. It's just a lil' chunk of the Toronto we wanted to use before it burned up in orbit.

Chloe,

My name is Booth, commanding the Bristol cruiser Endeavor. I think we’ve met a few times in Galileo, but consider that all well and good. I’ll be handling this communication.

I caught Ms Mcguire’s message from Pennsylvania on our secure channels, and decided to hand that off to Arcetri Station for their local administration and Bristol Bay Station for select Bristol Board members. After talking with the Board over this, they agreed to your little favor. Nothing big, nothing able to be traced back to Bristol though, that was their conditions, and I’m sure you’ll agree. We don’t need backlash over this, not when it’s helping to move Bristol into a better position than those fucks at DSE.

The Board also figured we’d be a good option to take on that gear and whatever technicians you’re needing, bring them over to Arcetri Station. Security purposes and all that. Galileo has gotten dangerous in recent weeks, as I’m sure you’re well aware.

Pick the technicians who can keep it together the best. There’ll be none of the usual antics, not aboard my ship, and none on Arcetri either. I keep my ship clean, I keep my ship neat, and they do the same for that engineering out of Galileo. They’ll be sent out from the Frigate Keystone in Colorado, and meet us up in the Reppu Cloud on the other end of the Jump Hole. I’ll send you the specific details on when those technicians will depart from the Keystone by a secure line.

Any questions?

Sup Booth! Got word from the girlies that they've settled in all nice and comfy. Well, as nice and comfy as you can get somewhere you can't freeball cardi.

Lemme know how the sensor package holds up. Also the drones. I mean, we know those kick ass, they're battle-tested. Just the sensor package might need some iterations.

That's one favor crossed off the list!
