As recently there has been some discussion about a (perceived) lack of variety among fighter guns, the Balance Team™ has decided to take a swing at another fighter gun balance pass, focusing on Class 1 & 2 (faction) fighter guns to begin with. This time, we'd like to invite the community to participate. Relevant channels are visible to everyone: ⁠DiscoveryGC Official⁠briefing, ⁠DiscoveryGC Official⁠discussion, ⁠DiscoveryGC Official⁠changelog & ⁠DiscoveryGC Official⁠effects-submissions, this way the process will be as transparent as possible.

People looking to contribute should approach me either in PMs or in ⁠DiscoveryGC Official⁠gameplay-discussion to request the required role and access to the work-in-progress excel sheet.

Please note that access won't be open to everyone -- we're looking for contributors who have a solid grasp of balance and a good feel for how faction identities should be reflected in their weapons.

Hello everyone! The latest patch introduced some interesting novel behavior in burstfire guns - a hotfix is incoming, but please note that we consider using bugs for advantage is considered bug abuse and cheating!

From what we saw

• Hegemon got doble-CD: you can mount 2 CDs or 1 CD and 1 Mining Array
  
• Armor upgrades cannot be mounted on capital ships (including gunboats) from now.
  

There seem to be a couple more small things, like roundels for factions and the changes to guns. But again, we don't have a definitive list of changes. Be patient; someday we'll get list of changes, maybe in one-two days, maybe two-three weeks or even month when another fix will happen, lmao.

(I sincerely don't understand what's stopping staff from posting changelist right in day of the patch)

The gun changes haven't happened yet. They've only just started getting worked on.

I need to go through the git log item by item and compile all the actual changes. Probably tonight.
