I am contacting you in wake of our Serene Empire of Kusari becoming a dangerous place. Considering the violent incursion into grounds of the Diet and indiscriminate killings of Kusari officials - may they rest in peace - I cannot exclude that the ultimate goal was to perform full purge of any political and nobles seen as unfavorable to late Lord Protector’s ideal of Kusari. I may as well have become a target myself and consider myself lucky to be counted amongst the survivors. Combined with looming threat of possible aggression from Liberty, current measures of Clan Hakkera to maintain a small cadre of loyal retainers had clearly proven to be insufficient to ensure even my own safety. To fulfil my obligations as a loyal vassal of the Empire and governor and protector of Honshu and its people it became clear to me that more needs to be done.

I am therefore humbly inquiring into necessary licences to obtain and operate weapons and vessels typically reserved to our highly esteemed Kusari Naval Forces. Starting from commissioning of the Ashikaga-class gunboat into my personal service. It will provide much better protection than civilian shuttles and liners for my personal protection across our nations trade lanes and any official visits abroad in service to Kusari. In times of war and peace, this warship will prove to be a useful auxiliary supporting our brave troops in their time of need.

Furthermore, fighter grade armaments for my personal retinue. We had worked with equipment sourced from the civilian market. It was cheap and hassle free as there were no legal restrictions on this grade at any point in Kusari’s recent history. Still, it seems we will need actual quality military hardware to further the interests of Kusari. While my station prevents me from assisting KNF in its duties directly, Hakkera family can support Kusari in our own way. We had always taken a more active stance than simple stewardship of our planet.

Unsurprisingly, the circumstances surrounding Lord Protector Mitsuo-sama's tragic actions led to a surge in private security interests of our nobility. Few have reached out to us so far, understandably so as some may suspect our ranks to be still compromised with the Lord Protector's most loyal.

A loyal supporter of his viewpoints speaks to you right now and I wish to reassure you that next to the IKN-Haruna's crew, none of us intent to take up arms against the Kusari he believed into until the point of no return. His actions were misguided, his judgement clouded by something we are yet to understand. His loyalty to the Empire was second to none however and we'll carry on in a fashion befitting the trust built between our nations armed forces and its people as envisioned by the late Lord Protector and Admiral.

We are facing grim times, internal strives and one plot of our foreign adversaries following the next. Your security interests are more than justified and we'll see to arrange something. There are a handful of Ashikaga-class Gunboats kept in operational shape for service with the Keiretsu, repurposing and relocating one of these vessels to fulfill your request is a simple matter. Outfitting your personal retinue of snubcrafts with standard armanents is a matter as simple as you or your staff heading for the IKN-Sado and telling the local Quartermaster that Admiral Akenobu wishes to see "all your equipment related wishes" fulfilled.
