Is windows seven actually worth it? Ive heard rumors it was like XP's way of doing things (mechanically) and was vistas visuals. If disco runs flawless on it, then it will probably be the best Microfail operating system since XP

Close this poll... It's not really an opinion poll as the name indicates.

It works on Windows 7 as others have stated in this thread and others before...

Yes, I'm using Windows 7 64 bit as my primary OS.

For those of you with XP, the only reason to upgrade is that newer applications might just work only with windows 7 in the near future and also the 64 bit OS has support for lots of RAM & optimisations for the new processors, DDR3 etc...

For those of you on Vista - Are you still on Vista, hah !

ps: I have vista, which I reluctantly bought as I couldn't get XP... b ut windows 7 is my main OS, will be buying the upgrade as soon as it's available.

However, in it will be present an XP somethingeyIdon'tknowthe name which will allow that.

I think there'll be ways to make it work.

Worst case, make your sys dual boot.

The XP emulator isn't designed for most people, it only comes with the Professional and Ultimate editions, requires your processor to have hardware level core emulation (only the newest core 2's, i7's and xeons) as well as a valid (unused) xp license. Its actually designed for business use where most companies will already be using virtulisation to some degree or another.

I have used Windows 7 for a month with no problems at all. Disco FL works, old games like FF7 and 8 work, there seems to be no problem with it.

As for people who are worried about having a low end computer...you'd be surprised at how low Windows 7 can go. I've heard that someone actually got it to work on a Pentium II (yes, TWO) processor and only 96 MB of RAM. It was slow as hell, but it worked.

Carlos Rivera: Corsair Brotherhood Pirate - Retired, shifted to Tripoli Shipyard's Research and Development engineering teams
Anthony Cameron: Guild Core Bounty Hunter - Killed in Action, committed suicide after being trapped in Omicron Minor following its destruction
Juan Ruiz: Outcast Ghost of Razgriz Pirate - Killed in Action, killed by the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army during Bretonian piracy raid
Michael Winchester: Liberty Security Force Agent - Missing in Action, likely killed during Rheinland espionage mission or trapped in Rheinland Space
Eric McCormick: Order Pilot - Retired, shifted to planetside training of new recruits

Liberty and Nomad Backstory, Very interesting - read it!
