Google Earth plots the shortest distance around the planet's curvature between the server and me at over 18,000 km.
Not bad ping for the distance.:)

I have about 130-170, the ping is great for me. However, I have Comcast, so that might explain the low ping.

I agree with Ant, imagine trying to do this in like... the 90s. Wow...
