My shuttle is currently on planet Stuttgart. If it will be acceptable, I can meet you at a place of your choosing. Let me know and we can arrange it.

You know, I was reading the news earlier, while we were trying to ration our current supply of H-Fuel, when I noticed this interesting press release.

It sure seems you do a lot of business with Synth Foods. That mentions six stations. SIX! That's a lot! Even the Hessians don't have that much of a presence and they are the preeminent revolutionary group in all of Sirius.

No, no, no, this is just too suspicious. The investigation will continue, but this just seems as though you are leaning far too heavily on them for support.

Re: Synth Foods?

I have to say this is indeed news to me. I have not been contacted or informed of any heavy support by Synth Food. Synth Foods has a presence on many Freeports much like everybody else, but it has never been established to be anything above the norm. I will take this to the higher levels in order to determine if this is true since I cant seem to find any sign of precendent to such a relationship. You already know my standing on the latest Synth Foods product and hence you have my support in your investigation.

Regards,
Capt. Xavier Triton

WHile I cannot say About your Other freeports.......

THese Public station discriptions should show this about those........
..

CLASS: Dern
GRAVITY: Complete
DOCKING: Yes
AMENITIES: Yes
POPULATION: 2K

Freeport 1 was founded by a group of Zoners over sixty years ago. It was the first station of its kind to be declared open to all, and it still provides a place for commerce and Food sales to everyone, regardless of legal status.

CLASS: Dern
GRAVITY: Complete
DOCKING: Yes
AMENITIES: Yes
POPULATION: 850

Built out of the old framework of an abandoned Republican Shipping outpost, Freeport 2 was founded in 650 A.S. by displaced Texas settlers, Hamburg drifters, and a variety of other individuals looking for safe haven. They aligned themselves with the Zoner movement and its open-to-all philosophy, then purchased a series of Synth Foods biodomes for fFood production. The exploding demand for fFood from the adjacent Texas Ssystem and from local criminal elements has provided them with a steady market for their surplus. Aside from the Zoners, Xenos and Unioners also frequent the station.

That Last bit about the unioners is obviously out of date....

CLASS: Unknown
GRAVITY: Partial
DOCKING: Yes
AMENITIES: Yes
POPULATION: 1K

Freeport 4 was originally a Bretonian station that was abandoned but later reopened by unemployed miners from New London. The miners eventually joined the Independent Mining Guild (IMG) and declared the station a Freeport, open to all. The population largely subsists on whatever income it can manage by selling Water and ice to the IMG, freelancers, or anyone else who has the credits, and by repairing the odd commercial transport damaged by asteroids or pirate raids.

I should Point out that this is an IMG station, Ms, Morganrot, DO not hold them responcible for that

CLASS: Unknown
GRAVITY: Partial
DOCKING: Yes
AMENITIES: Yes
POPULATION: 800

Originally a loose assemblage of habitat modules intended to provide quarters for Deep Space Engineering crews constructing a Trade Lane through the system, the station was abandoned upon completion of the Trade Lane and eventually became home to the Zoners. The station was dubbed Freeport 6, and with the addition of a Synth Foods biodome, has become largely self-sufficient. Because of its strategic location in the Border World systems, it is a frequent way station for cargo runs by Bretonian and Kusari shipping companies, as well as a springboard for Independent Mining Guild (IMG) and Zoner expeditions.

CLASS: Cochrane
GRAVITY: Partial
DOCKING: Restricted
AMENITIES: Limited
POPULATION: 200

The Ames Research Station was originally established in 550 AS to study the movements of the strange clouds of dark matter in the system. The station is now largely occupied by Zoners, but a contingent of Deep Space Engineering support staff remains aboard.

BUt as you saw eariler, we do have a recording from men aboard that station

Hannah, I, and the crew of my ship have just returned from an investigation of this so-called Zoner situation. I have much bad news to report.

First of all, the place near this "Gran Canaria" is full of Corsairs! The planet itself seems nice, though - they certainly have good taste in location, if not company. In fact, one of them appeared drunk and struck at Ludwig while we were there talking to some nice freelancers! Many were also flying around, and a nearby Molly patrol said they have been moving there in some kind of alliance.

http://bradiuscaesar.com/FL/message_dump_p...irs_zoners2.jpg

As far as food goes, the planet did appear to have the ability to grow quite a good deal of fresh crops. However, they also sold lots of Synth Paste, at a location just a stone's thrown from a vast debris field. We speculate this is where they build their so-called "Zoner biodomes".

http://bradiuscaesar.com/FL/message_dump_p...oners/food3.jpg
http://bradiuscaesar.com/FL/message_dump_p...oners/food4.jpg

The strangest and most disturbing part, though, was a very massive ship that we ran into. It had a variety of nomads in its hold, but claimed to have enough nuclear warheads to blow them anyway if need be. "An effective radius of 20km"! That could cause serious harm to a planet - I suggest we make sure to keep it away from Planet Stuttgart

http://bradiuscaesar.com/FL/message_dump_p...nomad_nukes.jpg

It was also claimed that the Zoners supply food to the Order, the Corsairs, and the Outcasts. This is a very unusual trifecta if you ask me.

http://bradiuscaesar.com/FL/message_dump_p...rs_outcasts.jpg

But worst of all was the fact he appeared to be a slaver of some sort. Not only did he have slaves, which he cleared up were, in fact slaves, but he claimed "I'd get more profit from killing them now and selling their organs". If that is how these Zoners are, I suggest we remove them from space and let the Kanzler try them for some sort of crimes against humanity. Or perhaps such Red Hessian justice? He even refused two million credits each for us to liberate them. We threatened them with our tachyon guns, but against such a huge ship it didn't work. The captain just scoffed!

http://bradiuscaesar.com/FL/message_dump_p...ers/slaves8.jpg

That is my report. Unfortunately, I have no other option than to conclude this is clearly a hostile and barbaric group. They are supposed to be quite varied, so perhaps there is some hope for future relations, but as of now, things will surely be sour.

The Zoners Consortium is sad to hear that your people had an unpleasent experience while visiting Gran Canaria. News of a Zoner captain piloting a Juggernaught with slaves is extremely disturbing. The Consortium is completely against any form of slavery and it puzzles me to no end as to how another Zoner would sink so low.

The Zoners Consortium, as mentioned before, does not purchase or sell Synth Paste and if you ever catch one doing this (with an (]c[) tag), please send us a report.

Gutan Tag, Sir,

The Synth paste you found is being phased out gradually in the Omega 49 system as we have been enriching our farm techniques and such. I think you will find that most of us don't touch the stuff. Why is it still around then? An old contract that I wasn't around for long ago. As I said before, you will never see that crap on my ship. Should you find a Zoner ship with it, well, they know the consequence.

I would also like to thank you for finding this Val Martin. Zoners aren't supposed to have slaves on board NOR are they supposed to transport nuclear warheads as both are contraband. Again, individual Zoners who do know the price if caught. I will be dealing with Val Martin soon enough. Again, thank you for pointing out this person.

And the Corsairs you found are patrols that always hang around. They don't bother us too terribly.
I can still meet with you or anyone of the LWB staff at any time to hash out any issues there are.

Respectfully,
Dr. John Henry Holliday
