Esteemed Superiors and Brothers in Arms,

I will attempt to approach this subject with humility and a diplomatic tone.

As many of you know, I and many of my current crew members were members of the BHG for quite some time. However, we had begun to become disenchanted with the Guild's goals in the Omicrons and Omegas.

After a battle at FP 11 against a large Nomad contingent, we began formulating a plan to break with the Guild. We had lost our will to fight fellow humans, who have bravely dedicated themselves in defending humanity against our most implacable foe. When the ideal moment came, we commandeered a destroyer and set course for Toledo, with the intent of joining cause with the Order. We were treated with great suspicion upon our arrival, but the Order agents were gracious enough to allow us to win their trust. The rest is history.

Now, due to my background (I speak for many of the crew as well), I have no love for criminals and even less for Corsairs. However, as I speak of the Corsairs, you all should know that I understand my operational parameters regarding this faction. I have taken a pledge to serve the Order, nor will I tolerate rebellion on my vessel in any form.

Nonetheless, I have a great deal of difficulty understanding how we help humanity against the Nomad, but we allow thousands upon thousands of Nomad artifacts to pass through Minor and Alaska on Corsair and Hogosha transports. It seems counterproductive and wrong.

I understand that the Order has in the past benefited from this alliance. The situation was dire and no offers of help could be rejected. But I ask you, as a colleague who has a different perspective on this issue, what are the current advantages for the Order in this alliance?

Even as I send this transmission to you, Corsairs, specifically the OPG, are making a point of de facto cutting off our supply lines. They have been concentrating on pirating Zoner transports of deuterium passing through the Omegas. As a result, the trade route has been drying up at an alarming rate. This leaves us, as well as the Zoners, who are close allies themselves, in a very compromised situation. We are highly dependent on those Zoner shipments as well as the Zoners' overall economic well-being. When their coffers are full, they have more with which to support our mission.

Some may hold that the Corsairs offer us a better defensive posture in the Omicrons. I must respectfully disagree in view of recent assaults by hunters in Delta and Minor. The Order managed to repel all invaders and inflict serious damage on Guild vessels. We have the skill, manpower and the hardware to hold our own - without compromising any of our mission goals. The only times I have seen Corsairs in Minor is when they have an appointment with an itinerant weapons' dealer or just to loiter in Toledo's orbit. This alliance seems to benefiting them considerably more than the Order.

In light of recent events and the overall strategic situation in the Omicrons and Omegas, a neutral stance with the Corsairs would make more sense in the long run. It would be easier to establish better relations with other factions: house authorities, lawful, unlawful and quasi-lawful entities. We need to branch out more throughout Sirius. Being in an alliance with a dominant pirate house and organized crime (Hogosha) effectively shuts the door to other diplomatic relationships that could prove to be useful.

I await the council of the Primary Fleet. Long live humanity! Long live the Order!

Forgive my intrusion however I feel it is necessary since one of my colleagues brought to my attention your concern which has been eloquently and well stated by......yes by Joosua Elonen.

Indeed the OPG are enforcing a taxation policy on zoner vessels carrying shipments of goods. I must say I was completely bewildered that anyone would think we are 'cutting' your supply lines. Vessels that comply with our demands to drop cargo are then allowed to progress freely to Delta. Those that do not have their ships destroyed. Any cargo we secure I can guarantee will arrive at a depot via corsair trasports. So the fact is. The order will experience no loss in delivery of deuterium since if it is not delivered by an piracy enlightened zoner it will be delivered by a fully laden corsair who remain your steadfast allies in the fight against the nomads.

In addition to this should you require shipments of deuterium the OPG have access to the Omega Trading Corporation and im certain that my colleague in that organisation would be happy to start sending shipments should your needs be unfulfilled by zoners because their ships have been reduced to rubble.

Please do not be oncerned in any way that shipments will not reach you. Certainly they may never reach the bounty hunter guild and it appears that Joosua Elonen may still have some residual sympathy for that organisation. Im certain of course that the order and your steadfast friends the Corsairs DO NOT.

Since it is zoners who distribute this id concentrate your efforts clearly on makinng sure they service the Order who protect humanity BEFORE they distribute deuterium to the Bounty hunters who destroy it.

To the Order Primary Fleet Command and to Admiral Bre'Delacorsa in particular - my thanks regarding your comments. I do have much to learn, that is for certain. My relatively short tenure in the Order has provided many educational moments for me to analyze.

To Admiral Bre'Delacorsa: I understand your position and your special relationship to the Corsairs. However, you did not disclose any concrete benefits that the Order as a whole gains from this alliance. Something that I was looking forward to seeing. But I will not push the matter further.

To Elder Sparta: Is it common practice for Corsairs to hack into a diplomatic channel? But since you voiced your concerns regarding my initial message, I'll state and repeat some of my concerns. We all know by now that the Zoners are an opportunistic bunch. And we know that Corsairs are compelled to ply their trade. However, milking the cash cow dry is a short-sighted strategy. Nor is blowing up traders a glorious affirmation of one's tactical prowess. Of course using the OTC's services or your own traders is a doable option, but one that is vested in self-interest - then again, your people aren't exactly renown for their highly-developed sense of altruism, so no suprises there. In many ways, you Corsairs are similiar to my former comrades, which brings me to my last point.

You were only half right about my sympathies with the Guild. There are some in their ranks that I would still call friend, men and women with their heart in the right place - most of the time. As for the majority of them as well as the organization and its goals, I have nothing but contempt - and even pity. If any one doubts my loyalty to the cause of the Order, ask those who have fought with me against the Guild in recent skirmishes.

"I may be young, and only a newly appointed Commander within The Order, but I'm a quick learner and my short time aboard the Bastet has taught me quite a bit about our allies and enemies. I have nothing personal against the Corsairs, up until now I thought they were valuable allies... but apparently I was blindfolded. Why is it that, out of the blue, they have suddenly begun to pirate and attack our closest allies, whom we rely on for not only resources but also exchange of technology, information, and support in combat?"

"While some more naive officers may see Elder Sparta's response as reasonable... I do not. It doesnt take a psychic to know that once you pirate those transports, less than half of the cargo will ever get to us, while the rest is taken to fuel your own war efforts against Rheinland or Bretonia, or the various criminal groups throughout Sirius... not to mention further assaults against our suppliers. The only thing that the Corsairs are doing is driving a wedge between both our alliance with the Zoners, as well as our alliance with themselves."

I dont think the Corsairs would be foolish enough to attack a trade ship directly protected by our own pilots. Taking hasty decisions , while using only a fractions of the information we need , is not something which makes us the organization we are today. We shall investigate every piece of information and act only after doing exactly that. Second hand information and "suggestions" from various members of our organizations , will hardly effect the High Commands final decision. "

I have stared into the shallow argument that appears to be occurring between us and find myself distressed, amigos. Robbing the Order is far from justifiable. They have provided us with more valuable technology and equipment than even the expanse of just over a decade can cover, and even now come to our aid when the Outcasts show their faces in Gamma, so there can be no reason standing as far as my knowledge is concerned, as to how one could even come to imagine robbing the supply lines of our allies.

I request that those among us who do help sustain our economic strength avoid taxing the very pillars upon which both we and the Order stand. The short-term benefit of successfully robbing a few loads of Deuterium is heavily inefficient compared to the valuable support the Order themselves provide.

UPLOADING SECONDARY MESSAGE:

However, upon deliberation, I have also observed/become aware that indeed, Zoner shipments through to Delta pose a somewhat unpleasant risk and/or problem due to the presence of the Bounty Hunter cesspool known as Dobadaru Station. We are aware that the Hunters also need these Deuterium supplies, and that such shipments can as easily be aimed at supplying them as they would our allies. Additionally, Hunters, problematic scum that they are, are fully open to interdiction of the Zoner supply shipments, and no doubt can easily tell when a load of Deuterium is not coming their way, which would result in them likely stealing such shipments.

Because of this, I do believe I support the escorting of Zoner shipments to Minor by OPG pilots. If the Zoner shipping attempts to sell to Dobadaru instead, then we have every reason to rob them or worse, force them to drop their cargo for attempting to sell to our enemies.

Hopefully this will resolve the issue for all three of the involved parties...
