Admin notice: Players sanctioned

El_Matador and Spawn have been sanctioned owing to a report posted on the 27th august 09 for:

5.6 If a player engages cruise engine or docks with a station, jump gate, or trade lane during a PvP fight, this player has fled the fight. The fleeing player must leave the system and may not re-enter the system where the fight took place with any of the characters on his/her account(s) while the enemy (player or players involved in the fight) remain in the system until four hours have passed from the time the fight ended.
Using cruise engines to catch up with those capable of thrusting at higher speed than you is not allowed. Trade lanes may be used to pursue or catch up to other ships under any circumstances, even if the other ship has not yet fled as described above.
The fleeing player can fight in self-defense if attacked again while attempting to leave the system after fleeing.

Consequences: Both of you have been fined all guns and credits on those ships. Sanction notifications are in your holds.

Langely fully appreciates that to, as it was only I he confronted on the matter, so surely he should be reprimanded for taking the Michael out of the rules?

I don't understand the issue, we hardly chased him and in fact let the ship go, instead of chasing him.

The rule lawyering in this game boarderline ruins it at times like this. The amount of times the liberty navy have broke rules engaging me, with no real consequences and I've done nothing, precisely because of that.

As an LN Gunboat chasing a Hacker in Alaska you approached and decided a Gunboat against a Gunship was very unfair and decided to attack me in your Outcast Destroyer (in Alaska? Why are you there? Oh that's right, your a lolwutter!).

Either Spawn engaged cruise at least once or he has one hell of a thruster, you have admitted you did, so your sanction is justified. Given your second post in the forum is in a sanction I'm less than impressed.

So here's some free tips, don't cruise in combat, Outcast destroyer's don't belong in Alaska or Manhattan orbit, return to Alpha. If you feel the Liberty Navy has broken a server rule in engaging you, document it and report it.

Half the navy engaged thrusters and chased me through ny and cali yesterday, how long have you got?

I couldn't care less, end of the day; if you feel that us chasing you out and flying off is such a heinous crime so be it, just don't lie about the facts.

What's wrong with engaging thrusters? That's not cruising. Fact is, this was report was backed up with screenshot's, and those don't lie.

Of course you don't care about my opinion, you don't appear to care about the server rules either.

They show him closing a distance he could not have done under thruster, thus he was included in the sanction report. It's not possible to just say someone did something, you need evidence to file a report.

It's up too Spawn to post here if he feels he was treated unfairly, I am grateful you have admitted you cruised. My report was simply based on the screens I took, I hold no malice towards Spawn or yourself for that matter.

Correct. The sanction was measured by the evidence provided, not by word of mouth.

Well, it's patently clear that I have no evidence to the contrary, I just hand on heart did not see/ nor do I believe that Spawn engaged cruise engines, as he too also appeared to maintain a fair distance ahead of my ship.

I'd kindly ask you not to use the El Matador name, it has been name of one of my ships for 1.5 years now, so would be nice to avoid any mixed identities.
