Heh, I thought by now I'd know my father very well by now. I talked with him so much at first but late couple of weeks, months I was barely on Isis and even when I was on board it, both of us had something to do, more important than talking. We are now together on Insanity, haven't talked with him yet.
I have some time now, I decided to input some data in this thing. It's silly how much things changed, hostile attacks on Minor have increased. Not sure how long we are going to keep up. We are loosing resources too much, too fast. As long as there is some moral in pilots we can't lose.
Though, can't say that about my father. He is now in his small room aboard Insanity. Usually he is out there, fighting everyday, fighting every hour. I heard each time he comes back it's just for some quick repairs or to change fighter. Each time he comes back fighter or bomber is missing part or two, usually blown off wings. He is pushing his ships to the extreme and isn't quitting. Some may thing it's plain bravery but I think he lost will to fight them. It's like he is looking for reason to die but in the end will to live prevails. I'm not sure how long it will stay that way. They told me once he came he had great moral, he was so sure in victory, he supported others and made them believe they will win no matter what odds. Now.. it's different. I hope I'm wrong and I don't know him this much.

As Keith turned off his data pad and left it in his pocket he got called by navigation officer aboard Insanity. They were stationed at Omicron Delta hole when they noticed small hunter bomber squad heading their way. It was too late. Before they could do anything first nova torpedo bounced of shields. As Keith saw that he ran down small hallway for his father and as he knocked on doors alarm sounded. At that point shields were penetrated and Insanity got hit. Whole ship jolted sideways sweeping everyone of their feets.

We suffered complete loss of crew almost. Only father and I survived. Initial blast didn't do much damage but we got blocked in fathers cabin it was impossible to move out some thing that blocked our way. I have no idea what was it, some part of ship. Don't know. We tried to brake through to bridge but.. then second, third strike ripped through ships panels. It was barely holding together. Later when ship started to crumble automated gunboat defense for inner structure blocked fathers cabin from rest of the ship and we were safe. Hunters though their work is done and they left us drifting in space. Shortly after, our patrol almost did same mistake, but they scanned for life signs luckily. Apart from trauma we didn't have major injuries.
Whole time in cabin we haven't spoke a word. Father just stared at me, with fear in his eyes. I knew we would be saved, I hoped at least.
After we got picked up by patrol we were moved in medbay, I am still resting but father left as soon they said he was ok. He didn't cared about their suggestions to rest at least day before operating other ship.
That happened yesterday, I'm now waiting for all clear to leave medbay and jump in my fighter for a spin. They had one assignment for me, before this all happened. I'll probably be away for a while, away from Minor at least.
