' Wrote:This morning, the Honshu/Akita traders were being attacked by two Nomad vessels, a BS and fighter.
The vessels are tagged with a [B], with nonsense characters following. Destroyer Shikikan engaged the BS with reasonable success, until he ran for the Sigma 19 hole. At that point, I noticed a second [B] vessel entering Oita and then Hiroshima. The BS soon returned from Sigma 19, and they both engaged the Shikikan.
I was not able to hold off both vessels alone, so I docked at Akita and sent a system warning to all traders in Honshu.
I was also not able to verify the ID on these two vessels.
Suggest vigilance regarding any presence in Kusari by this new "group".
The Fool
Kusari Naval Forces are authorised to contact anyone available including nominally hostile factions, ships, pilots and commanders with assistance against a Nomad incursions into core systems. The Nomads represent a threat to the entire human race and regardless of anyone's current allegiances or political ties, a Nomad threat is a threat above all others. The Order and Black Squadron should take particular interest in abnormal Nomad activity. I ask, as a simple precaution to avoiding escalating current conflicts in Sirius, all parties called together to battle Nomad invasion forces leave the area without firing at one another and return to where they were. If that is not done, if we are not all united to face each and every Nomad threat, we risk discouraging attendance and fielding too weak a force to successfully repel the aliens. Nomads will not stop at the Houses of Sirius, they will exterminate all mankind if we give them a chance.
This is a message for the KNF forces, Rita and I are always here, standing by in case instances like this occur. We will be assisting you in the destruction of these Parasites.
If even one, singl, jellyfish-like nomad shows up in the Taus or anywhere where we migh be, consider him toast. Samir Duran had an unpleasant adventure with one gunboaat today. The Varsovia got pounded untill bots ran out. Even more surprisingly, the aggressor's cruise disruptors ran out. With the hull being only 10% operational, he was able to escape and land on planet Toledo. Later, the Black squadron took care of the nomad craft. (TY A LOT, DBoy)
Our vessels are always on the alert for Nomads. We in the South Alliance are already aware of these incursions and have placed all units on alert. All Houses can call upon us for assistance in this endeavor regardless of present hostilities.
Luciaden smiled to himself as he watched the news reports from Kusari and Bretonia.
GNN Reporter: We've received reports of nomad activity in Kusari, making attacks on KNF vessels. Fortunately the military so far has things under control. More alarmingly however, is the unconfirmed rumors of nomads taking over military ships in the houses, likely attempting to set us into war yet again.
Luciaden's smile that started as humor turned to malicious intent. "Perfect.."
(Predecessor to Part II of Ghosts of the Past [which won't take place in GotP]. Just found this to be incredibly useful in foreshadowing.)
Gun Commander Bryns sat in the command Chair of the Semeter. This was all very interesting. Brentonia Was keeping him busy buthe knew that he woudl take his ship to Newcastle sometime in the near future. He was hoping His bretheren had some interesting plans cooked up.
Even though the SCRA is Hostile to everyone we will make a special attempt to destroy these "Nomads" as they have made specific attacks on our new recruits.
