I doubt the devs will fix the distances, they've been borked for a while now and nobody has done anything.

I've played X2 with what are, I imagine, something approximating actual sizes.

In the time it took to cross a system I could take a nap.

They had an ingame method where you could speed up time.

Can't do that so much in a multiplayer game.

I'm happy with my borked freelancer distances.

I refer to K as "klicks" and M as "milliklicks". Sure, "klicks" technically describe kilometers, as well, but that's quite obscure knowledge - besides, "klick" is a nicely generic yet futuristic-sounding unit of measurement.
