Now dont get me wrong here, i am not trying to slag off folks that English is not their first language in game or on the forums. I am simply asking for some advise on how to talk to folks in a manner that is not demeaning to them or their language.
Let me give a scenario which i experienced :

Flying along the trade lanes in O3 i come to the Freeport and find a lad their trying to tax us poor unsuspecting, lawabiding, innocent traders in an Order Gunboat with a Corsair ID on him.
"Hmmm,( thinks i) now what would you be doing trying to tax here" as the command " STOP, 2Mill NOW" is broadcast on the airwaves.
Speaking in local chat i try to inform him that taxing right outside a freeport is probably not the best thing to do as it is a NFZ and im quite sure the Zoners here would be a bit miffed at his actions ( all in RP, of course)
" YOU WANT DIE? " was next broadcast, so i switch to private chat to explain thr error of his ways and get the reply " I no speak English"

Now, i am not going to demean the fellow here because it was obvious he didn't know anything about the RP around freeport NFZ and/or pirating simply because he hasn't read the forums in any depth or may just be an inexperienced RP'er.
So, my question to you good folks is this, what would you guys say is the best way to deal with this remembering that the guys first language is not English so reading the forums would be hard for him?

Basic English. Short sentences. Simple vocabulary.

That's how I deal with them. I think the most important thing is to use basic vocabulary. Kill is definitely better than engaging and so forth. Don't use slang or elite speak.

Flying under radar.

On most of my characters, I will continue to deal with them in-character. I might simplify my English, but only if they're making an effort to RP rather than using their lack of English as a get out of jail free card.

As an ESL teacher for a few years now I have understanding for these people, but also limited patience here in Disco.

Simple and direct sentences are obviously the best way to deal with the situation - I would suggest remaining in character as much as possible and go to pm's if you need to be OOC.

But personally, I do this for a day job, so i do not want to do it in my (nominal) down time when I get in game - this is an english language server and thats pretty obvious - If people cannot speak functional english then, they cannot function here, i couldnt tell you how many sanction reports we have had over time which boiled down to a lack of functional english.

Sorry, but if they can download the mod, log in, create a character, start the game, find trade route and actually pirate, they should be treated as they can comprehend english.

Since he is imposing his roleplay on you (2mil or die), who is he that you have to cripple your rp so he can understand?

Ok, you tried short sentences, next stop is to dock or to run and ignore him. Report him to zoners, expect them to handle it. That's it.
Sorry guys, your english does not have to be perfect, and misspelled words are not to be laughed at, but worst thing that you can do is give up and say "no english"

I've met lot's of "no englisch" people around. What I do is to deal with them in RP and in case they start shouting their own language (russian mostly) I accuse them from being nomads and kill them. Bad thing is when they have a destroyer or even battleship.

I have to agree that if they have been able to download Mod, install it etc then they must have some understanding of english, even basic.

Have you ever tried to download something in a foreign language or read instructions, damn hard it is! If they have managed then I have very little sympathy for the '2mil or die', 'I no abla anglais' brigade.

I wouldnt log on and play on a chinese speaking or russina speaking server and the say 'No russian' and expect to be welcomed with open arms. They understand '2mil or die' pretty well, must be the only english they know!
