Well My opinion was that it [New York] was always a trade hub. In reality it is the exact center of Sirius. It would be nice to see New London and New Tokyo more attention though....
Maybe the hipsters will declare a new hang out spot.
To be honest, I often have my trade runs go through NY on purpose. More people there to interact and RP with. Heck, I don't even mind pirates so often, and usually stay to RP with them a bit. (Shoutout to Polaris here)
The only time I don't RP with them is if I am on my way to meet up with someone. Then I usually just go, "*Sighs* ANOTHER pirate. Very well, criminal scum, here's your 1 million." and leave.
