I'm attempting for kicks in trying to get my 360 to play on my PC monitor. Sadly, I don't have on hand a VGA cable, nor does my PC have a HDMI socket.

Can I still play my 360 which is connected to my graphics card which has a HDMI socket?

I think you can get a converter that runs into your graphics card can't you?

I think so, but after some research, it seems the HDMI needs to go into the PC Monitor itself. Looks like I gotta get a VGA and some way to get sound. So its new speakers and a few other bits too...

Jep, it works. You just need an HDMI cable and it's basicly plug and play. That's how we did it, anyway.

Socketing it to the monitor -> works
Socketing it to the monitor via HDMI -> works
Socketing it to the video card -> hmm...

Aye, I was curious with hooking it up to the video card.

I am not sure if VCards are working both ways both as a receiver as well as a transmitter. They are output devices, not input devices (i may be wrong) therefore, connecting the XBox to a graphic card is... intersting. I may be wrong though but I don't think I managed to make that work with my 4870x2 at the time, before it exploded.
